About me and my therapy practice
Does life sometimes feel overwhelming? You might find yourself struggling in your relationships, feeling unheard, or questioning whether the path you鈥檙e on is truly right for you. You may simply feel like something is 鈥渙ff,鈥 even if you can鈥檛 quite put your finger on why. These experiences can be unsettling, and it鈥檚 natural to feel unsure about where to turn.
Counselling offers a unique space away from the pressures of daily life鈥攁 place where you can pause, reflect, and make sense of what you鈥檙e going through. Together, we can explore your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
My path to becoming a counsellor grew out of my own struggles with depression and a wish to better understand myself, others, and the world around me. My own experience of therapy has been life changing and I feel privileged to support my clients as they navigate their own journeys toward healing and meaningful change. I believe deeply that every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and live in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling.
I work with adults from many different walks of life who are navigating a wide range of challenges. This might include feelings of anxiety or low mood, the pain of loss, difficulties in relationships, struggles with self-esteem, or the impact of past experiences and trauma. I also support people during times of transition, when life feels uncertain or change feels hard to manage. Whatever has brought you to therapy, we can explore it together in a safe and supportive space.
Practice description
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and my core training is in Transactional Analysis. Integrative means I draw upon different approaches depending on your unique needs. I use a person-centred approach, meaning that the client is always at the centre of the work. I also draw upon my Fine Art background to work creatively where it feels helpful, offering fresh ways of exploring and expressing your experiences.
I trained at the Northern Guild and I have since been working as a counsellor within primary care and charitable settings. Many clients that I work with find that, over time, they feel calmer, more confident, and better able to relate both to themselves and to others in more fulfilling ways.
I am a registered member of the 网爆门 (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it鈥檚 completely normal to wonder what it will be like or whether it can really help. My aim is to make the process as supportive and approachable as possible. To help with this, I offer a free 20 minute phone call where you can ask any questions and get a sense of how we might work together.
