About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming at any age.
Life can feel messy, painful, or uncertain 鈥 especially when you鈥檙e carrying grief, navigating change, or trying to make sense of feelings that feel too big or too stuck. I believe in the strength that people already hold within themselves to find their way to the life they want to live, even when it doesn鈥檛 feel that way.
Here are just some of the things we might explore together...
You might be grieving a loved one, a loss by suicide, or the often-overlooked pain of losing an animal companion. Pet bereavement is something I鈥檝e explored both personally and through my master鈥檚 research, and I understand how significant and complex that loss can be.
You may be feeling overwhelmed in relationships, stuck in self-doubt or shame, or unsure of what direction to take next. Perhaps you're living with the impact of domestic abuse, facing burnout at work, or questioning who you are and what matters now.
For some, this might be a time of transition 鈥 a shift in health, menopause, a new chapter in life, or caring for ageing family members. You may also be noticing how early life experiences still shape the way you feel and cope today.
"Everyone鈥檚 story is unique, and whatever you're carrying, you're welcome to bring it here, just as you are."
Practice description
Therapy with me is a collaborative process.
You lead the way, and I offer presence, curiosity, and care. My approach is rooted in empathy and respect, and I offer you a warm and respectful space. I鈥檒l walk alongside you as you explore what鈥檚 difficult, at your pace and in your way. We will explore what matters to you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher in both the UK and Asia, supporting young people academically and pastorally. I also bring the perspective of being a third culture kid, having grown up across different countries and cultures. This has given me a deep appreciation for what it means to navigate identity, belonging, and change, especially when 鈥榟ome鈥 doesn鈥檛 mean just one place.
I鈥檝e worked within a specialised bereavement support service, and alongside my private practice, I currently work as a counsellor for a well-established charity in Liverpool. There, I support individuals facing bereavement, domestic abuse, and other life challenges. I鈥檓 trauma-informed and a member of the Complex Trauma Institute
I come to this work as a fellow human 鈥 someone who knows how healing it is to be seen, heard, and supported during life鈥檚 most difficult moments.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial conversation (by phone or Zoom) to see if therapy with me feels right for you. There鈥檚 no pressure or obligation 鈥 just a chance to connect, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work.
