About me and my therapy practice
I mainly work therapeutically with children aged 3 - 25 and assist the important people around them, such as their families and schools.
Working collaboratively and relationally is important to me and where possible, I seek to engage schools and parents in the work with young people.
I also work with adults, couples and families and enjoy running workshops that enrich relationships and health within families.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi there!! I am a counselor and child psychotherapist, and now Trainee supervisor.
I have worked in the public sector with vulnerable children, young people and families for over a decade. I was a foster carer and have lots of experience working in schools, NHS and Social services. I am caring, consistent and non judgmental. I'm an innovative problem solver so I love enriching people's lives through creatively. I'm also a proud mum of three so a lot of my passion projects involve creating safe and uplifting communities for mothers.
As a mental health professional, I have worked with adults, children, parents and carers to promote better outcomes for families. The majority of my work has been with looked after and adopted children and has often involved working with complex developmental trauma.
I am passionate about working with families as well as the networks supporting them. It's my deepest desire that relief would be found by all those who engage with ShawSpark Psychotherapy services.
Practice description
I offer Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapy and Counselling Supervision. I am keen to facilitate reflective practice, support clinical integrity, and foster growth of psychotherapists working with children and adults alike. I am trained in theological models adapted from play therapy, attachment theory and neuroscience. It is a generic training that is applicable to those working with children, adolescents and adults. Some of the modules are focused on supervisors who work with adolescents and children and will focus exclusively on the developmental challenges and ethical dilemmas of these younger age groups. I utilise a range of experiential methods and creative techniques.
I am confident that my unique blend of wisdom, empathy, experience, and a love for both teaching and learning makes me an approachable option for any supervisee.
I love am excited to engage fully with the work you do, to challenge, cover and to ultimately contribute to the field as a supervisor who leads with integrity, insight, and heart.
