About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Sarah, a warm, friendly, and compassionate counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages — including children, teenagers, students, and adults — through the emotional challenges life can bring. I am committed to offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.
Whether you're struggling with something recent or carrying long-standing emotional pain, I provide a calm, accepting environment where you can take time to explore whatever is on your mind. As a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered therapist, I work from a person-centred approach, meaning therapy will always be led by you, your goals, your pace, and your experience.
I work with people across a wide range of life stages and emotional issues, including:
Anxiety and panic
Low mood and depression
Grief, bereavement, and loss
Family breakdown, divorce, and separation
Loneliness and isolation
Exam pressure and school stress
Low self-esteem and confidence
Anger management
Life transitions and uncertainty
Whether you're a young person facing challenges at school, a student under pressure, or an adult going through a difficult time, you are welcome here. I offer a supportive space where you can explore your emotions, gain clarity, and begin to move forward.
I currently offer online counselling via a secure video platform and telephone therapy sessions, which means you can access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home, with flexibility to schedule sessions at times that work best for you, without the need to travel.
If you’ve read this far and are wondering whether therapy with me might be the right step, I invite you to reach out. Let’s arrange a free 30-minute initial consultation to talk through what you’re looking for and see whether we’d be a good fit to work together. Sometimes, the hardest part is making that first contact — and I’ll be here to meet you with warmth and care when you do.
Practice description
My counselling approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy, which means our work together will always focus on what feels most important to you. I combine this with integrative therapeutic tools that are tailored to your individual goals and emotional needs. This flexible and responsive style of therapy puts you in the driving seat — you decide the pace, the depth, and the direction of each session.
Whether you're looking to explore deeper emotional wounds or simply need a space to reflect on everyday stress, I will meet you where you are. You may want to take a gentle approach and stay on the surface, or you may feel ready to go deeper — either way, we’ll move in a way that feels safe and manageable for you.
As your counsellor, I offer genuine warmth, compassion, and a non-judgmental presence. Our work together is guided by your lived experience, not a rigid structure or set agenda. If something new or pressing comes up for you during the week, you are always welcome to bring it into our sessions, even if it wasn’t what we planned to talk about. This is your space, and it's important that you feel free to be fully yourself within it.
I understand that life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're facing anxiety, low self-esteem, past trauma, or periods of change and uncertainty. My role is to offer support that is consistent, emotional, grounding, and empowering — a place where you can explore your inner world safely and without pressure.
Over time, we will build a trusting therapeutic relationship that supports you to express yourself openly and honestly. Whether short-term or long-term, our work will be collaborative and centred on your wellbeing. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and more connected to your own inner resilience.
My first session
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, which is why I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation via telephone or secure video call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for from therapy, explore how I work, and see whether we feel like a good match. There’s absolutely no pressure — it’s simply an opportunity for you to get a feel for whether working together is right for you.
If you decide you’d like to begin your therapeutic journey with me, we can then discuss a mutually convenient time and day to begin regular sessions. I fully understand that this is a personal decision, and you are welcome to take your time in considering your next steps. I’ll be here when you feel ready to begin.
I believe that counselling should be accessible and affordable, and I offer concessionary rates for students to help remove financial barriers to support. If cost is a concern, please feel free to ask about low-cost counselling options — I’m happy to discuss this with you in confidence.
I provide sessions online via video, as well as telephone counselling, allowing you the flexibility to access therapy from your own home, wherever you are in the UK. This remote option means there’s no need to worry about travel or location — we can focus entirely on your wellbeing in a way that suits your lifestyle.
I am a fully insured and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ), which means I work to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
If you’re interested in finding out more or would like to book a consultation, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You’re welcome to contact me by email, phone call, or text message — whatever feels easiest for you.
