About me and my therapy practice
We are all individual and my approach is to see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. I focus on your lived experience, not just the label or issue you come with. Every part of your life matters - it all contributes to the story of who you are.
I work to foster personal growth by challenging belief systems, which helps to create empowerment, resilience and positive mental health outcomes. I will help you to better understand your present by exploring your past. I'll help you to recognise patterns in your behaviour that don't have to remain fixed.
While I may have training and qualifications, I don't see myself as above you - we meet as equals in the therapeutic space that we create. My role is to support, not to judge - I bring professional skills, but you bring your lived experience, and both matter equally. I have been on my own journey of questioning and learning and come to certain understandings about myself and life in general. Because of my varied life experience and training, I'm able to help you understand and develop a deeper connection with yourself also.
Ultimately what we all seek is self-love and self-acceptance and I will be there for you every step of the way on your journey.
Just as I am committed to helping you, I like to work with people who are committed to personal enquiry and growth and who are reliable and prepared to do some inner work between sessions.
Practice description
I work with men and women over the age of 18 online or in person.
I’m committed to ethical, client-centred practice. I work with clients from all ethnicities and sexualities, with a huge variety of presenting issues. I am passionate and committed to supporting individuals through emotional, psychological and behavioural challenges.
I run a separate monthly men's group to support men through all of life's complex challenges.
I also run nature connection courses to help enrich and deepen a sense of self within the wider context of the natural world and our relationship to nature.
My first session
I offer a free no obligation phone call to learn a little about you and why you are seeking therapy and for you to learn a little more about the way I work.
If you want to start therapy our first session will be a continuation from the phone call and will last 50 minutes and is the same cost as a standard session.
I will not hold you to a certain number of sessions, we work until you are satisfied and wish to end our time together.
