About me and my therapy practice
I’m an Integrative Therapist offering support for a wide range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, grief, low mood, trauma, and family-related difficulties. My approach is warm, respectful and adaptable—providing a secure, confidential environment where you can talk freely and feel genuinely listened to. I draw on a blend of therapeutic models and gently shape our work around what feels most helpful for you. I work with both adults and children from the age of 6 upwards.
I am an Integrative trained Therapist, with experience in anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, trauma as well as wider family issues. Providing a calm, safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, valued and supported, using a variety of therapeutic approaches, enabling us together, to ensure therapy fits your individual needs.
I work with adults and young people aged 6 and above
Life can be complicated, and at times feel overwhelming. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what you’re feeling—whether that’s anxiety, low mood, or the lasting effects of early life experiences. Together, we can explore what’s going on, helping you to feel more hopeful, better understood, and more in control of your direction.
My approach centres on building a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, accepted, and truly heard. It’s in this connection that deeper understanding can take place—of your emotions, behaviours, and the impact of your past. Therapy can offer insight into how you relate to others and yourself, while also supporting you to make meaningful changes.
I offer creative and expressive ways of working, such as art, play, and other imaginative tools. These approaches can be especially helpful for clients of all ages who find it hard to express themselves with words alone.

Practice description
The therapeutic relationship is at the centre of our work together, so finding the right counsellor for you is key to fostering change. Please feel free to contact me for an initial, free 15 minute chat to explore your needs and how we may be able to work together to achieve them. Should you then wish to work with me and feel ready to begin, we can arrange a convenient time for our first session. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly and can be face to face in my counselling room or remotely via Zoom or telephone, whichever feels more comfortable for you.
When working with children and young people, I draw on my experience across Primary, Secondary, and Further Education settings, including SEND provision. I aim to create a steady, nurturing environment where young clients can explore emotions and difficulties in a way that feels manageable and appropriate to their stage of development. I support young people facing challenges such as anxiety, self-harm, academic stress, friendship difficulties, and family changes, as well as offering guidance to the adults around them.
My first session
The first counselling session is a gentle, welcoming space where we’ll explore what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get from it.
You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say, we’ll go at your pace. This session is an opportunity for you to begin telling your story in a space that feels safe, accepting, and respectful.
I’ll invite you to share any current challenges, concerns, or goals, and we’ll discuss how I work and whether you feel I’m the right fit for you. You can ask questions, raise any worries you have about starting therapy, and let me know what kind of support you’re looking for.
If the counselling is for a child or young person, I’ll often begin with a short conversation with the parent or guardian to gather initial information and outline how I work. From there, I aim to build trust gradually with the child or teen, creating a space where they feel comfortable enough to express themselves freely.
Whether you're new to counselling or returning after time away, the first session is about helping you feel heard, respected, and at ease. I don’t ask for long forms or assessments unless they feel useful—we’ll begin by simply talking.
If you’re interested in exploring how therapy could help you or someone in your care, please feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial session or have an informal chat.
