About me and my therapy practice
Seeking therapy can be a daunting process, but can be one that results in lasting change. As a fully qualified, and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, I will work with you to gain insight into your thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns, and help turn that awareness into meaningful change.
Perhaps you are feeling anxious, experiencing feelings of depression, or are keen to find support following a major life event, or are at a place where you feel stuck. I can offer you a safe place to explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours at a time in your life when you might be overwhelmed or not know where to go next.
With the right counsellor, you can feel listened to and understood and start to recognise what’s holding you back from living more positively and fully.
I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. What brings you to counselling will be unique to you. I will explore this with you and we can determine together what support might look like for you, and work to uncover what's in your present and past that needs to be understood for a more positive future.
Practice description
I am an integrative psychotherapist. This means that I am trained in a number of counselling and psychotherapeutic practices which I am able to draw on in order to personalise my approach to you and your individual needs. Together we can work on finding a way forward.
I work with adults, of all ages, in private practice.
I also spend a portion of my week working as a counsellor in the charity sector providing both low cost and free therapy to a diverse range of clients.
I have a great deal of previous experience of working with young people in educational and community settings, providing 1:1 counselling.
I provide mental health crisis support via a text-based service for young people, and adults.
I have an enhanced DBS.
Reaching out is a brave first step and not an easy one. You deserve to do this for yourself and I would be delighted to talk to you in the first instance to see if you feel we can work together. Please feel free to get in touch. I offer you an initial free 15 minute phone or Zoom call and we can go from there.
I offer weekly sessions of 50 minutes for both short-term counselling and longer-term therapeutic work, in-person or online.
