About me and my therapy practice

I am able to offer a non-judgemental and confidential space where we can work together in a way that supports your needs. I am an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, passionate about offering you the opportunity to have space and time for your own thoughts and feelings.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, depression, relationship breakdowns, anxiety, stress, trauma, loneliness, anger and self-esteem, working with people of different ages, neuro-diversities, cultures and backgrounds. A relationship built within therapy can allow us to explore our thoughts and feelings, paying attention to those that may feel conflicting or particularly difficult, supporting us to process, work through or accept what we’re feeling.

I have an understanding that life can be hard at times, within counselling, you can have the opportunity to engage in a trusting, boundaried relationship which can allow you to feel understood and heard. You are the expert of your own life and therefore sessions will be on your terms, where are you the focus.

I work regularly with supporting anxiety, sometimes talking through practical strategies can be helpful while also allowing time to explore the root cause of fears that may be causing the anxiety. We can work together to confront these fears and support you to take control of the anxiety rather than it taking control of you.

I have experience of working with those who feel different, this may be suspected or diagnosed ADHD or Autism or other neurodivergence, my priory is to help you explore who you are and how you experience the world. Once understanding our differences, it can be easier to manage our needs and acknowledge that being different is not being wrong.

My training allows me to work integratively, drawing upon a range of Psychodynamic and Person Centred theories to help make sense of what’s going on for you. Counselling is always a collaborative process, where you and your needs are the central focus.
