About me and my therapy practice

The Place where healing meets honour. Whether you're navigating the impact of trauma, emotional neglect, burnout, or simply feeling like you鈥檝e lost touch with yourself, our work together can help you move forward. Here you will find a space to understand your story.

I am a qualified and experienced integrative therapist, working with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply and feel more grounded in their lives.

My background includes private practice, voluntary work and specialist training in trauma, fertility-related issues and neurodiversity. During the COVID period, I worked with CRUSE, supporting people through complex grief and sudden bereavement. This continues to shape the sensitivity and care I bring to my work.

I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, including ADHD, autism and AuDHD. My approach is affirming and respectful, I pay close attention to sensory needs, communication preferences and the realities of living in a world that often misunderstands difference.

I work alongside a 网爆门-registered associate who shares similar values and approaches to therapy. Together we aim to offer consistent, thoughtful support, and having two of us in practice often means clients can begin therapy within a short timeframe.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I write occasional wellbeing pieces for the Blackmore Vale Gazette and the Purbeck Gazette.  This offers a way to share supportive information and reflections with the wider community and to help normalise conversations around mental and emotional health.

People describe me as calm, steady and easy to talk to. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and collaborative, and when there is space for both emotional depth and practical support. My integrative training means I can adapt the work to your individual needs rather than following a single method.

If you would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, you are welcome to get in touch for a free introductory call.

Practice description

My practice offers a space for adults to pause, reflect and understand themselves more deeply. Many people come to me when anxiety feels hard to manage, when life transitions feel unsettling, or when they feel overwhelmed, low or disconnected from who they want to be. Others come because they want to explore long standing patterns, relationships or experiences they have not yet had room to look at. Wherever you are starting from, you will be met with steadiness, warmth and genuine curiosity.

I support clients with a wide range of emotional and relational concerns, including trauma, stress, low confidence, identity exploration and the ongoing impact of earlier experiences. Grief and bereavement are also a significant part of my work. My time with CRUSE during the COVID period gave me extensive experience supporting people through complex loss, sudden bereavement and the isolation that can deepen grief. This continues to shape the care and sensitivity I bring to this area of practice.

I work with clients navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss and birth trauma, drawing on specialist training in IVF and miscarriage. For neurodivergent adults, including ADHD, autism and AuDHD, I offer a neurodiversity affirming approach that respects sensory needs, communication styles and different ways of processing. Many clients say it is a relief not to mask or explain parts of themselves.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I also write occasional wellbeing pieces for the Blackmore Vale Gazette and the Purbeck Gazette. This gives me a way to share supportive information, offer gentle guidance and open conversations about mental health within the wider community.

Some people want practical tools, others time for reflection, and some simply want space to understand themselves more clearly. Together we work at a pace that feels manageable, allowing clarity, resilience and confidence to grow. If you would like to talk through whether we may be a god fit, you are welcome to get in touch.

My first session

Before booking a first session, I offer a free introductory call. This is a relaxed chance for us to say hello, talk about what has brought you to therapy and get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit. We can also look at mutual availability. Because I work alongside a 网爆门-registered associate, sessions can often begin within a week.

Your first full session lasts for 60 minutes at the usual rate. There is no pressure to continue afterwards. Many people use this session to see how it feels to talk together and whether the approach feels supportive. Building a good therapeutic relationship takes time, so this session is simply a starting point and an opportunity to notice whether the pace and style feel comfortable for you.

There is nothing you need to prepare. Most people arrive unsure where to start, and that is completely normal. We go at your pace. I may ask a few gentle questions to help us understand what you are experiencing, how it affects you and what you hope therapy might offer. This is not a formal assessment; it is simply a conversation where we begin to make sense of things together.

If you are navigating anxiety, trauma, bereavement, neurodivergence, fertility challenges or a significant life transition, we can explore how these experiences are impacting you. You are welcome to share any sensory needs or communication preferences so the session feels as comfortable as possible.

I use a secure practice management system that sends automatic appointment reminders and payment links to help ease the practical side of attending therapy.

Towards the end, we check in about how the session has felt. You can ask questions about how I work or what future sessions might look like. There is no need to decide straight away; you are welcome to take time to reflect.

My hope is that your first session offers a sense of calm, clarity and possibility as you consider your next steps.

Practice description

My Approach as a Supervisor

As an integrative therapist, EMDR practitioner and supervisor, I draw from a breadth of well-established frameworks to ensure our supervision work is both robust and responsive to you:

The Seven-Eyed Model (Hawkins & Shohet): exploring client dynamics, therapeutic relationships, practitioner process, and systemic context with layered awareness

The Cyclical Model (Page & Wosket): a structured yet flexible container for reflection, focus, exploration, and integration

The Functional Model (Inskipp & Proctor): balancing the normative (ethical), formative (developmental), and restorative (supportive) functions of supervision

These models don鈥檛 just live in a textbook, they shape how we meet, explore, and evolve together. They ensure that our work remains ethical, embodied, and emotionally resonant.
