About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychotherapist (MÍø±¬ÃÅ) based in London and I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling. I offer sessions both online and in person.
I would describe my practice as combining warmth with appropriate challenge. At times, I may do more than sit back and nod; I am not a blank slate or a traditional therapist. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is genuine and in open and honest conversations.
I work with individuals who are struggling with their relationships (self and others), feel stuck in self-defeating patterns, struggle with anxiety, low self-worth and emotional disconnection. I have a background of working in the fitness industry for over 10 years and have specialist experience of working with issues related to body-image and disordered eating.
Practice description
I have trained in the three primary modalities, psychodynamic,
humanistic (person-centred) and CBT. In my practice, however, I
predominantly work within a psychodynamic framework. This
means that in our work together we will explore how your current
feelings and behaviours are shaped by your early experiences,
attachments and unconscious processes.
Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can’t
quite explain or repeating the same dynamics in relationships. My
approach helps you understand the emotional roots of these
challenges, not just simply manage symptoms.
Psychodynamic therapy is deep work, often long-term, and is best
facilitated through a strong therapeutic relationship.
My first session
I offer a free optional 10 minute pre-consultation assessment call to give you the opportunity to ask any questions and to find out whether we might be the right fit.
Our initial meeting will be an 90 minute consultation assessment (£120.00). This meeting will allow me the opportunity to ask questions, to find out about you, your history and background, to identify your reasons for seeking therapy and for us to agree on your therapeutic goals.
Regular sessions are 50 minutes each and are on a weekly basis and are held at the same time/day each week. I offer both long term and open-ended therapy.
What I can help with
Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues, Depression, Loss, Personal development, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Trauma
Types of therapy
Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Relational
Clients I work with
Adults
How I deliver therapy
