About me and my therapy practice
***ONLINE COUNSELLING ONLY***
Hello, my name is Karen, and I’m a qualified counsellor with experience supporting both adults and young people. As a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered practitioner, I work within their Ethical Framework to offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood.
Online counselling offers a flexible and accessible way to get the support you need, especially when life feels hectic. Whether you're juggling work, studies, family, or other commitments, being able to access therapy from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you feel safe can make a real difference.
It removes the need to travel, fits more easily around your schedule, and still offers the same depth of connection and support as in-person sessions. For many people, it creates a comfortable space to open up, reflect, and prioritise their mental health in a way that works for their lifestyle.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, CBT, and solution-focused techniques. This allows me to tailor our work to suit your individual needs, experiences, and goals. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to creating a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space—somewhere you can talk openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of whatever you’re going through, at your own pace.
Practice description
***ONLINE COUNSELLING ONLY***
We all face challenging times, and it’s not always easy to understand our thoughts or feelings on our own. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just in need of space to reflect, we’ll work together to explore whatever you’re going through in a way that feels right for you.
Some people come to counselling with clear goals, while others simply want a space to talk and explore deeper questions about themselves and their lives. There’s no right or wrong way to use the space—it's yours, and I’m here to support you in whatever way you need.
I know that finding the right counsellor can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to have questions about how counselling might work for you. To help with this, I offer an initial session where you can get a feel for how we might work together and decide if I’m the right fit for you.
I’d be glad to meet you and support you as you begin your counselling journey.
