I am currently taking on new clients. I have flexible availability Monday to Friday, and can offer early mornings, daytime or evening appointments to suit your schedule.
About me and my therapy practice
Talking to those closest to us is often not an option, or may not be available to you, and sometimes, it can feel easier to seek help from a counsellor who is impartial to your day to day life.
Finding that genuine connection is really important, and can play a key role in the overall success of counselling. You will often sense whether a therapist is right for you, so listening to your gut feeling will often lead you to the right place.
My practice offers a human and authentic space with a therapeutic approach centred around compassion and non-judgement, providing you the opportunity to talk openly and reflect on anything you are experiencing in your life. I remember the feelings of nervousness and apprehension when approaching somebody for support, it felt daunting and the choice is endless, so I hope to make the process as comfortable as possible for you.
Whether you are experiencing Low Mood, Stress, Anxiety, Relationship struggles, low self-esteem/low self-confidence, or you are simply at a cross roads and unsure of your next step or where to turn, counselling can help. Through my work at a local hospice, I am also experienced in supporting people through the challenges of Grief and Bereavement, whether this is anticipatory or following the loss of a loved one.
I work face to face in a dedicated Counselling, Wellbeing & Therapy practice in Horsham. I also work online via a secure video link and via the telephone, offering accessibility, choice and convenience.
I offer a free 10-20 minute initial chat, where we can discuss what has brought you to seek support, and determine if I am the right therapist to support you and whether we feel we can work together. It also enables you to get a sense of the process and ask any questions you may have.

Practice description
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can be met with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement.
Firstly, we would have an initial informal chat to discuss what has brought you to seek counselling, and to provide the opportunity for you to get to know me and ask any questions you may have. You will often get a sense following an initial chat whether you feel comfortable to move forwards. I always encourage speaking with a few counsellors to get a feel for how people work, and who you connect and feel most comfortable with. You will know!
Often we don't know how many sessions are required until we start the process, and this can vary from person to person. So I work on an open ended basis and review periodically. This is something that is discussed during our initial chat and throughout our time together, and tailored to meet your specific needs.
Encouraging self-awareness and understanding, we will collaboratively explore your experiences, thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
