About me and my therapy practice
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you are not quite yourself? You are not alone and you do not have to work through it on your own. I offer a warm, supportive space where we can explore what’s happening in your life and uncover the deeper emotions or patterns that may be holding you back.
To help you decide if I am the right fit for you, I offer a free 15–20 minute phone or video consultation. This is a chance to talk through what you're looking for from counselling and ask any questions you may have.
I bring over 10 years of experience working in mental health services, backed by a Master’s in Psychological Therapies. I understand that not all struggles are clear-cut—sometimes, we simply need time and the right person to help make sense of things.
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, drawing from Person-Centered, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Psychodynamic approaches. This allows me to tailor our work to suit your unique needs and experiences.
At the heart of my practice is a belief in the power of relationship. A safe, trusting therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for healing and helping you move toward a more fulfilling life.
Practice description
My approach is relational, non-judgmental and rooted in empathy. In our early sessions, we focus on building a safe and trusting space where at your own pace, you can begin to share your story . I offer a contained space where it is safe for you to explore your self. I will offer my observations and therapeutic understandings to help you explore your experiences more fully.
As our work develops, I may introduce therapeutic techniques such as visualisation, system mapping, or emotional and cognitive models to support your deeper understanding of self. Central to my practice is the belief in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship one that fosters helpful insight, challenges unhelpful patterns, and ultimately supports you in making meaningful choices in your life.
My first session
At the beginning of our work together, my focus will be on understanding what has brought you to therapy. We’ll take time to build a strong therapeutic foundation, one that can hold the full weight of your emotional and mental experiences with safety and care.
As our relationship develops, we’ll start to explore your present, how you are experiencing life right now and how you feel about the situations you are facing. Next we can begin to look ahead to the future and consider what you’d like it to hold, guided by your values and aspirations.
At this point, the journey becomes increasingly your own. Therapy is your space, and I believe in supporting you to shape it in a way that feels most helpful. Over time, as the space we create together remains steady and supportive, you may begin to experience that same sense of consistency and groundedness within yourself.
