About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for a therapeutic space where you feel deeply understood from the very start? My practice is built on providing an integrated and affirming approach to well-being, especially for the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities.
I’m Gabriel (he/they), a queer and neurodiverse Person-Centred counsellor. My focus is on offering a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your inner world. My own lived experience often helps in building a genuine and immediate connection.
My background in creative fields gives me a unique insight into the importance of self-expression and the courage it takes to forge an unconventional path. This perspective enriches my ability to support you in a modern and responsive way. I offer compassionate support for challenges including anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, work stress, and trauma. My goal is to help you re-build the bridge between simply existing and truly living.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in the Person-Centred approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. You hold the capacity for your own healing and growth, and my role is to walk alongside you as a compassionate and supportive guide.
My ability to create an engaging, structured experience, drawn from skills learned in both creative and mentoring roles, helps create a foundation of trust where you can explore difficult feelings and gain self-awareness. While I welcome adults from all walks of life, my practice has a special focus on providing affirming therapy for:
- LGBTQIA+ and GSRD individuals seeking a space to explore identity, relationships, or any of life's challenges.
- Neurodivergent individuals (ADHD/Autistic) who need a therapeutic approach that works with their brain, not against it.
- Anyone struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, and burnout.
My practice is anti-racist and committed to providing a knowledgeable, stigma-free space for People of Colour, sex workers, and those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
All sessions are conducted online or via phone, providing a convenient and accessible way for us to connect from a space where you feel most comfortable. Each 50-minute session is a confidential and dedicated time for you, every week.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is the most important step. To help with this, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory video or phone call. This is not a therapy session, but a chance for us to briefly meet, discuss what's bringing you to therapy, and see if we feel like a good fit to work together. You can ask any questions you have about my approach or the therapeutic process.
If we decide to proceed, our first full 50-minute session will be a space for you to share your story in more detail. My standard fee for this and all subsequent sessions is £65.
I believe therapy should be accessible, so I reserve a limited number of concessionary slots on a sliding scale. Please feel free to inquire about availability for this when we speak.
