About me and my therapy practice
As a Humanistic therapist/counsellor, I can offer a safe, non-judgemental space which allows you to explore whatever is going on for you at your own pace, all the while respecting that you are the expert of you.
My training and experience mean I can hold this space for you safely and confidentially, helping you to 'join the dots' and find your own solutions and way forward.
My many years of experience as a therapist/counsellor, lecturer and trainer, along with a BSc in Psychology, and ongoing CPD, mean my theoretical knowledge has developed and embedded and offers reassurance that you are in safe and knowledgeable hands. But most of all, I pride myself on being warm, empathic, nurturing and a person of great integrity.
Practice description
I offer sessions online (via Zoom) or in-person.
My first session
It is important that we build a trusting, open relationship so our first session will be an opportunity to get to know each other and find out if we 'click'. There will be no obligation or pressure to book a further session if you feel I'm not the right therapist for you.
This first session will be for 30 minutes instead of 60; therefore, it will be offered at a reduced rate.

I currently have availability to take on new supervisees.
About me and my therapy practice
It can be tricky to find the right supervisor. What are you looking for? Of course, I can offer you experience, knowledge and compassion; but what is going to make me the best match for you? Acceptance, integrity and empathy? Challenge, rigour and accountability? Humour, flexibility and theoretical depth? If so, give me a try. Our first meeting (which is free) will be a chance to get to know each other and find out if we will 'click'.
I hold a COSCA Diploma in Counselling Supervision, have more than 9 years' experience in my own Humanistic practice, and a BSc in Psychology. While the Humanistic approach is still the foundation of my practice, as I have developed, I have integrated elements of other modalities into the way I work.
I have also taught and nurtured trainee counsellors through qualification and beyond; this means my theoretical knowledge stretches to many areas and modalities and I know what it takes to support counsellors and therapists at all stages of their career.
I am also qualified to work with Children and Young People so am well placed to supervise counsellors who work in this age range.
Practice description
I offer supervision online or in Inverness.
My first session
The relationship between supervisor and supervisee is key to success so I believe the first session should be an opportunity to get to know one another and gauge if we can work together.
I prefer the first meeting to take place in person if at all practicable and will be a more relaxed meeting than usual supervision sessions. As such, this first meeting will be offered free of charge.
