About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Ciara (MSc, MÍø±¬ÃÅ). I am a level 7 trained psychotherapist who specialises in working with children and young people (aged 11-25 years). I can support you with several issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, friendship issues, family problems and bereavement. I will empower you to talk about what is important to you, support you in learning new things about yourself, help you find new ways to manage your feelings and problems and encourage setting personal goals. As a therapist, I am relatable, down-to-earth, calm and caring and I will provide a space which is welcoming, warm, confidential and judgement-free.
Practice description
If you are feeling lost, frustrated, overwhelmed, lonely, worried, or scared... you are welcome here. You do not have to be in crisis to have therapy sessions. It may be that you wish to gain self-awareness, address mental health issues, talk about childhood experiences, work through relationship issues or process difficult past experiences.
In the sessions I will not pressure, judge or shame you, but listen to you, see you as the expert of your own life, and respect your pace and boundaries while gently challenging you when needed. If this sounds like the right approach for you, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.
My first session
In the first session we will explore your needs and what has brought you to counselling. Together we will set therapeutic goals and discuss how many sessions may be needed. I can offer short-term and long-term therapy on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
