About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Ciara (MSc, MÍø±¬ÃÅ) — a down-to-earth, fully qualified psychotherapist with a passion for supporting children, teens and young adults through life’s challenges.
I understand life can feel tough and overwhelming — whether it’s anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship fallouts, family tension, or loss. You might feel like no one really gets it, or like you have to keep everything inside. Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to pretend — and where what matters to you, matters to me.
As a Level 7 trained psychotherapist, I specialise in helping people understand themselves, make sense of difficult emotions, and find healthier ways to cope. But more than that, I bring a calm, kind, and real presence to each session. Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to — someone who truly listens without judgment.
This is your space. I’ll meet you wherever you're at — with warmth, confidentiality, and respect for who you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just need a safe space to begin.
Practice description
If you’re feeling lost, frustrated, overwhelmed, lonely, worried, or scared — you’re not alone. And you are very welcome here.
You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes it’s about wanting to understand yourself better. Other times, it’s about exploring difficult experiences, working through relationship struggles, improving your mental health, or just needing someone to really listen.
In our sessions, I won’t judge, pressure, or rush you. I’ll meet you with warmth and respect, see you as the expert of your own life, and support you at your pace — gently challenging you when it’s helpful, and always holding space for your voice and your story.
I became a therapist because I believe no young person should feel alone with their feelings — and that with the right support, change is always possible.
If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where you can ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.
I look forward to hearing from you.

My first session
Your first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand what’s brought you to counselling and what you'd like support with, but mostly it’s a space for you to talk, be heard, and go at your own pace. We’ll explore your needs, set some initial goals together, and chat about how therapy might work for you — whether that’s short-term or longer-term, weekly or fortnightly. I work in a Person-Centred way but, as an integrative therapist, I can draw on different approaches to support you in a way that feels right for you. What I can help with

You don’t have to have a "big problem" to come to therapy. Sometimes, it’s just about needing someone in your corner. My goal is to empower you: to talk honestly about what’s going on, explore new ways of thinking and feeling, and set goals that feel meaningful to you.
This is your space. I’ll meet you wherever you're at — with warmth, confidentiality, and respect for who you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just need a safe space to begin.
