I am available on Mondays until Thursdays. I am aware that not everybody is able to meet at the same time and day every session and I am happy to work with this.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor with years of therapeutic experience. I work with clients who have a wide range of experiences and feelings including autism, anxiety, depression, loneliness, carer difficulties, challenges in relationships or families and feelings of not being good enough.
I have also worked with many people who have experienced trauma and/or emotional abuse.
I will work empathetically with you to explore any uncomfortable emotions, thoughts, experiences or problems.
Here is a place where things can be discussed judgement free.
In regards to my background, alongside my private practise I work as a mental health crisis specialist worker for an organisation in my local area. Also, for a charity, I help to create a safe place where people with multiple and complex needs can enjoy a meal together.
I know it can be difficult to reach out for help, so I want to say well done for making this first step! I look forward to meeting you soon.

If you feel like your thoughts or feelings are hard to deal with, then we can explore things together to figure out what is really going on.
My therapy style is friendly and gentle, I will let you lead the conversation to wherever you feel safe to go to. I will listen to you and accept you as you are.
This is a place where I can help you to understand yourself more and work through difficult feelings/thoughts, in a place of safety. This is a place where I can help you to find some peace and acceptance in yourself.
My first session
If required, we can have a free short chat before the first session. In this chat you can tell me a little bit about you, and your situation, and I can tell you a little bit about me and how my sessions would look. You are also welcome to ask me any questions about what therapy with me would look like.
Before the first session I will send you some paperwork that needs to be completed. Please do not worry if you do not get time to fill this in, we can in the first session if you prefer to.
The first session will be a getting to know you session, where you can tell as much of your story as you feel comfortable telling at this time. I will be an empathetic ear.
