About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or like something important is missing from your life? Whether you're living with anxiety, navigating the challenges of ADHD, or facing the deep pain of loss - you're not alone. These experiences can show up in so many ways: racing thoughts, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, emotional outbursts, sadness, guilt, or numbness. They can shake your sense of identity, affect your sleep, strain relationships, and leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from the world around you.
You might be grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or even the life you thought you’d be living by now. Or perhaps you’re simply exhausted by the effort it takes to hold everything together.
In our work together, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can begin to make sense of what you’re feeling, explore your experiences at your own pace, and find practical, supportive ways to manage life’s challenges - with more clarity, confidence, and self-kindness.
I'm Zara and I’m a therapist working online with adults and young people. I work with clients all over the world and specialise in supporting people with the search for identity, direction, or the life you thought you'd have.
You might want to work with me around challenges linked to ADHD, or things like sexuality, gender or relationships—or you might have something completely different on your mind. Whatever brings you, you're welcome here. You won’t find me trying to link your difficulties to parts of your identity you're already comfortable with (something many people have experienced in more traditional counselling settings). If you're queer or neurodivergent, you won’t need to spend your sessions educating me—I bring lived experience of ADHD and professional experience supporting people across the LGBTQ+ community.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Brief therapy, Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Relational, Solution focused brief therapy, Transactional analysis
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Telephone therapy, Time-limited

About me and my therapy practice
Feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or like something's missing? Whether you're living with anxiety, ADHD, or grief, you're not alone. These struggles can appear as racing thoughts, restlessness, sadness, guilt, or numbness - affecting sleep, focus, relationships, and your sense of self.
You may be grieving a loved one, a breakup, or the life you imagined. Or maybe you're simply worn out from trying to hold it all together.
I'm Zara and I’m a therapist based in Manchester, working both face-to-face and online with adults and young people. I work with clients all over the world and specialise in supporting people with loss - including the loss of identity, direction, or the life you thought you'd have.
In therapy with me, you’ll find a calm space to slow down, be heard, and make sense of your feelings. We’ll explore how loss has shaped you and how to move forward with clarity and meaning.
Clients often feel lighter and more grounded after sessions. If this resonates, I invite you to a free, low-pressure intro call to see if we’re a good fit.
