About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor based in Bristol, with a particular interest in helping people explore and navigate their relationships. I work with romantic partners, family ‘pairs’, friends, as well as individuals. Whether you’re experiencing difficulties in a relationship, exploring who you are, or looking to understand how you relate to others, I can offer a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space, where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome all forms of relationship.
I also offer counselling to organisations, where employees are experiencing relationship difficulties in the workplace. I provide a space to reflect on what is occurring and work towards the best solution for all parties.
If you’d like to arrange a free 15 min initial conversation, or book a session to discuss your needs, drop me a line at counselling@tillyline.co.uk or contact me via my website www.tillyline.co.uk.
I have supported clients to explore a range of issues, including:
- Difficulties with communication
- Navigating conflict in a more constructive way
- Understanding and healing after a betrayal
- Working through differing expectations or life decisions, such as having children, moving in together, or committing to marriage or a civil partnership
- Exploring sexuality, identity, or relationship preferences
- Considering whether to continue, change, or end a relationship
- Understanding relationships in the context of work
- Understanding employee, colleague, or manager behaviours
Sessions provide clients with the space to build their awareness of their current issues and longer-term relational patterns. This might include dynamics that feel positive, as well as those that prove challenging. Once issues and patterns are surfaced, I can provide support to explore ways of relating in new ways.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic theories and tools to help you explore your relationships, feelings, behaviours and choices, in a way that best supports your individual needs:
Systemic therapy offers a supportive space for people to explore how their relationships work — looking at the patterns, dynamics, and how each person plays a part in both the strengths and the challenges within the ‘system’. Everyone is given equal space to share their perspective, with openness and without judgement.
Psychodynamic therapy offers a space to explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be shaping your present relationships and emotional life. By bringing these influences into awareness, it can help foster deeper understanding and meaningful change.
Narrative therapy invites us to look at the stories we tell about ourselves — and to consider how those stories have been shaped by the people, cultures, and environments around us. It’s a thoughtful and respectful approach that helps us explore our identities and experiences, making space for new perspectives and possibilities.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) offers an evidence-based approach to enhancing psychological flexibility. A key principle of ACT is the importance of identifying and clarifying our personal values so that we can make more intentional choices, including in our personal and professional relationships.
My training and qualifications include:

University of Cardiff - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Part 1
