My first session
Before entering therapy, it is a good idea to have been medically cleared. This means you must have seen an a qualified Doctor and have received either no formal diagnosis or have been diagnosed with a functional, neurological or psychogenic-based stress disorder. Once this is done, then the treatment can begin.
First you book a case consultation. This helps determine the suitability of our work together, and whether or not therapy might be helpful.
Secondly, if you feel we might be a good fit, we agree to test the hypothesis for 6 weeks. This time is a trial period where you and I find out whether or not there is a possibility for meaningful change for your voice problem.
Then, we contract to work together in medium to long term work.
