About me and my therapy practice
Does something need to change? Through therapy you can make that change. I offer support in a bespoke and solution-focused way, to help you cope with and solve life’s challenges. I am an Integrative Relational Therapist and will focus on you as a unique individual, your unique experience of and relationship with the world and those around you, to identify a way to move forwards towards your goals.
I have many years experience working with burnout, work related stress, navigating career change and redundancy. I have specialist experience working with domestic violence and abuse, as well as supporting people with a range of common mental health and relationship issues, especially depression and anxiety.
I offer a neuroaffirming approach to counselling, which means I work in a way that respects and values neurodivergent experiences. My aim is to provide a supportive, non-pathologising space where clients can explore their identity and wellbeing authentically.
As well as my counselling experience, I bring over 20 years experience of working for a global FTSE250 company, in a recruitment and wellbeing role, leading groups, workshops and networks with the aim of raising awareness, education and promotion of inclusivity and greater wellbeing for all. I am also a Mental Health First Aider.
Practice description
I offer one-to-one talking therapy online, giving you the space and support to be able to explore the things that are troubling you. We will work together to help you identify and navigate the challenges you are facing, building skills and resilience to enable you to move forwards in a positive way.
It may be that you want to explore your past, connect with your emotions or have some practical coping strategies to help deal with day-to-day work, life or relationships.
We can work on a short-term or long-term basis, meeting weekly or fortnightly, whatever is most suitable for you and your circumstances.
My first session
Sessions are 50 minutes long and are £60 per session. I offer a free 15 minute consultation as an introduction, to discuss how you’d like us to work together, and to see if I'm the right therapist for you. You can book and pay week to week or book a block of sessions upfront to secure your appointment.
Initially I will ask questions so that we can identify the things that you want to work on, and then work out a direction for your therapy together. I find that having regular reviews, usually every 6 sessions or so, is helpful so that we can make sure we're heading in your chosen direction. When you're ready to end, we will plan an ending phase that is tailored to you.
