Features

About me and my therapy practice

I'm a qualified integrative counsellor (MÍø±¬ÃÅ) and a qualified CPCAB tutor, offering trauma-informed therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or the impact of domestic abuse and relational trauma.

At the heart of my work is a belief in each client’s capacity to heal — given the right space, time, and relationship. Through a blend of person-centred warmth and psychodynamic insight, I support clients in uncovering patterns, deepening self-awareness, and reconnecting with their sense of self.

As the founder of Emerge & Heal Counselling, I provide one-to-one therapy online, by phone, and in-person (location-dependent), with a strong emphasis on safety, empowerment, and collaborative growth. I also draw from my 25+ years in education and 5 years working in mental health, to support trainee counsellors and professionals on their own journey.

Practice description

Íø±¬ÃÅ

Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and emotional renewal.

As a qualified integrative counsellor, my modalities are person-centred and psychodynamically informed, with elements of CBT.

This allows me to offer a safe, non-judgemental space for adults to explore anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem, tailored to meet your unique needs through compassionate dialogue and collaboration.

In your journey, we might explore patterns from your past that influence how you feel or behave now, or we might focus on what’s happening in the present moment — building emotional resilience and clarity as we go.

I tailor my approach collaboratively, drawing from our dialogue and any agreed therapeutic goals or treatment plans. This ensures that the work we do together is aligned with your unique needs, strengths, and pace.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, balanced life and to take those first steps toward change. If you're ready to begin that journey, I'm here to walk alongside you — to support, empower, and help you emerge with renewed clarity and strength.

With over 25 years of experience in education and mental health, I specialise in working with survivors of domestic abuse, emotional overwhelm, and identity challenges. Therapy with me is about uncovering patterns, reconnecting with self, and emerging stronger.

Offering sessions online, by phone, and in person (subject to location).

My first session

Making the first step can feel daunting — I understand. Our initial session will be a space for us to explore what’s brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the process. This includes a brief assessment of your needs and a discussion around how we might work together.

We’ll also go over a contractual agreement, which outlines the practical and ethical framework of our work — including confidentiality, boundaries, and session logistics — to ensure clarity and safety.

There’s no pressure or expectation. Just a supportive, confidential space for you to begin — gently, at your own pace.
