Availability
Considering therapy can take quiet courage - especially when something in you knows it’s time to reach out. Whether you’re feeling unsure or something’s been weighing on you, you’re very welcome here.
I currently have availability for online therapy with clients accross the UK. I work with adults - individuals, couples, and people in diverse or multi-partnered relationships - offering weekly 50-minute sessions via Zoom.
Availability can vary, so please feel free to contact me directly to check current openings or to arrange a free 15-minute introductory call. This brief chat offers a chance to ask any initial questions and get a feel for whether we might be a good fit.
I’m taking planned time off from 1st to 17th August 2025 inclusive. You’re very welcome to reach out during this time, and I’ll reply as soon as I can after I return.
I usually reply to new enquiries within a day or two. If something in you is reaching out — even quietly — I’d be glad to hear from you.
Sometimes that first step says more than words can.
About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can feel confusing, overwhelming, or quietly painful - and it takes courage to pause and reach out. Therapy can be a space to breathe, to feel met with care, and to gently explore what’s been difficult to carry alone.
Hi, I’m Owen - an accredited humanistic & integrative psychotherapist and relationship therapist. I offer online therapy with clients across the UK, working with individuals, couples, and people in diverse or multi-partnered relationships.
I provide a trauma-informed, non-pathologising space to explore what’s felt stuck or painful - whether that’s around identity, shame, grief (including the loss of someone or something), emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or out-of-control compulsive sexual behaviours.
I work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ clients and those navigating gender, sexual & relationship diversities (GSRD) - including around chemsex, internalised stigma, or sexual health concerns such as PEP, PrEP, or HIV.
My approach is person-centred and relational, meaning I aim to meet you with warmth, respect, compassion, and curiosity. I also work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities to support what feels most meaningful and helpful for you. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, soften shame, and begin to rediscover what matters most.
I’m an accredited member of Íø±¬ÃÅ, registered with UKCP, and hold European recognition through the EAIP and EAP. This means I meet established standards for psychotherapy at an advanced level - including in professional care, ethics, and training.
Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I’ve worked since 2011 as a hospital social worker in an acute, inner-city teaching hospital - including in a large and busy sexual health clinic, oncology, mental health, and palliative care. This grounding continues to inform the care and depth I bring to my work.
If something here resonates, you’re warmly welcome to reach out, in your own time and in a way that feels right for you
Practice description
I offer weekly 50-minute therapy sessions online via Zoom, working with adults across the UK. I welcome individuals, couples, and people in diverse or multi-partnered relationships.
Some people come to therapy with a clear sense of what's wrong. Others arrive feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to begin. There's no one way to start — we begin where you are. This is a gentle, collaborative space where you can speak freely, reflect openly, and bring the parts of you that might feel hidden, stuck, or hurting.
I offer a trauma-informed, non-pathologising approach, and welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities. I work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ clients and those navigating gender, sexual, or relationship diversity (GSRD). I'm experienced in supporting clients around grief and loss (including the loss of someone or something), as well as out-of-control or compulsive sexual behaviours - always with care, respect, and curiosity.
Our work might explore emotions, relationships, identity, early experiences, or patterns that keep repeating. We might also gently notice how the past is shaping your present, always at a pace that feels right for you.
The space I offer is calm, grounded, and attuned. Sessions are confidential, and led by what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.
If you're curious about beginning therapy, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. It's a chance to ask any questions and get a feel for whether we might be a good fit.
You're welcome to reach out in your own time - especially if something here quietly resonates.
My first session
Starting therapy can stir all sorts of feelings — relief, hope, hesitation, or quiet nervousness. You might not be sure where to begin, and that’s okay. You don’t need to arrive with it all figured out. Just showing up is enough.
Before we meet, I offer a free 15-minute call over the phone or Zoom. It’s a chance for you to ask any questions and get a feel for whether working together might be right for you. There’s no pressure — just an open, informal conversation.
Our first full session is 50 minutes long. You’re welcome to bring whatever feels important, or just begin wherever you are. Some people come with something specific on their mind, others with a general sense of struggle, stuckness, or longing for things to feel different. It’s also okay if you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you — or what you need from it. Sometimes just speaking aloud what’s been held inside can bring a sense of relief or clarity.
This first session is often the start of something gradual. Trust can take time, and therapy can be a space to feel your way gently into that. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right — there’s no pressure to open up quickly. There’s room for the messiness, the hesitations, and the parts you might not have shared before. Tears, silences, laughter, or awkwardness — all of it is welcome. You don’t need to perform or explain anything for it to matter.
I’ll also share a little about how I work, and you’re welcome to ask questions or let me know anything that would help you feel safe, understood, or supported. I don’t use formal assessments — our sessions are led by you and centred on what feels most meaningful or helpful.
This first meeting is about beginning to get to know each other - and beginning to make space for the parts of you that might need care, attention, or simply a place to land.
