About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Joanne.
I am a professional, fully qualified, down-to-earth counsellor with a speciality in grief and loss. I am a member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and an Accredited Professional Registrant with the NCPS.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your mental health due to illness or anything else, feel free to get in touch with me to see if we would work well together.
I approach my work with warmth, honesty and no judgement. I look forward to helping you in the next steps of your path to better mental health.
Practice description
Previously, I have worked at Macmillan Cancer Support as a grief and loss counsellor. If you or a family member has had a health diagnosis, it can help to talk to someone outside of your close circle at this time. Counselling provides an outlet for all the feelings and emotions you might be trying to suppress and cope with alone.
I am grounded in person-centred therapy, so rather than telling you what to do, I’ll support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, allowing you to come to your own conclusions and solutions. I am trained in treating an array of different mental health issues and difficulties, so please don't hesitate to reach out.
I am a warm and empathetic professional, and I can offer support for you to manage and navigate the emotions you are experiencing.
My first session
I offer an introductory call which is a brief, informal chat, designed for you to ask any questions and book a session with me if we agree that I'm a good fit for you.
