About me and my therapy practice

I am a experienced counsellor supporting both adults and young people. My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, which means I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, respected, and truly understood.

I have had the privilege of working alongside individuals who have experienced trauma, grief, abuse, depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, and other challenges related to mental health. Building a trusting, supportive relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe that each person has the inner resources needed to heal and grow - sometimes, we just need the right support to access them.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ), I follow their ethical framework to ensure safe and professional practice. Whether you're seeking support during a difficult time or looking to better understand yourself, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey.

Practice description

I'm based in Newcastle and work remotely with clients in the UK and Overseas using online video sessions . Sessions are offered in a safe, confidential environment. I work with adults and teens.

My first session

In our first session together, my main aim is to help you feel comfortable, safe, and listened to. We’ll start by talking about what counselling is and how I work, so you know what to expect and can ask any questions you might have. I’ll then go through a short health and risk assessment form with you — this just helps me understand a bit more about your wellbeing and make sure you get the right support. We’ll also look at a simple counselling agreement that covers things like confidentiality, how long sessions last, and what happens if you need to cancel. This is just to make sure everything feels clear and fair for both of us. Finally, we’ll talk about boundaries, such as keeping our sessions professional and focused on your needs. My hope is that by the end of our first meeting, you’ll feel at ease and confident that this is a space where you can talk freely and begin your journey at your own pace.
