About me and my therapy practice
I am a Glasgow based integrative counsellor specialising in anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma and lgbtqi+ issues. Working with me will allow you to understand the impact of the past on your current situation and find creative ways for moving forward.
I have lived in different parts of the world which has given me a diverse understanding of the lived experience. I believe that talking through our issues can provide a deep sense of relief. Its my passion to support my clients as they come to terms with their inner truth and find meaning in their life.
Counselling is a deeply personal experience and I feel honoured each time I listen to and sit beside my clients. I offer a free thirty minute zoom consultation which will allow you to get a sense of me and see if we are a good fit. If you are interested in exploring counselling then please get in touch with me via email, text or the form provided to schedule your initial consultation.
Practice description
Within my private practice, I have supported people on issues around familial acceptance, loss, sexual abuse, and forging a stable identity in the aftermath of traumatic events.
I have supported people to come to terms with their authentic selves, even when these may not align with the values and expectations of family. Additionally, I have worked with clients from the LGBTQIA+ communities on the themes of gender, neurodivergence, and sexuality, and the potential interconnections between these aspects of a person.
I also work with the organisation African Rainbow Family, where I have supported refugee clients process their trauma and abuse, come to terms with the loss and grief of migration, and find renewed hope and calm within themselves.
My practice is open and warm. I believe in forming deep and authentic relationships with my clients, which I believe is at the heart of healing a person's wounds from the past.
I currently work as a guest speaker at the University of Strathclyde, alongside my private practice.
