About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I became a therapist because I wanted to help people to address their difficulties, in order to achieve their potential, and that remains the motivation for my work.

It takes courage to seek help, to take a step towards bringing about change, particularly at a time when you may feel this is not possible, and that there is no hope for the future and no solution to the problems you are facing.

Perhaps you are thinking there is no point in seeking help, because history cannot be changed. However, working together, we can explore and change how you feel about your experiences and what you believe about yourself.  Whatever issues you are struggling with, I will provide you with a safe space where your voice will be heard and your experiences validated.

My focus is to help you to overcome the problems that the impact of life experiences can cause. Whether this is related to a current experience, or from earlier in your life, or perhaps from childhood. My aim is to help you resolve these issues and to move towards achieving your personal goals.

I offer therapy online or by telephone, on a short-term or medium-term basis, in addition to long-term open-ended therapy. I work with people from age eighteen years, through to older adults, and from a range of social and cultural backgrounds. I provide an LGBTQ safe space.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and my professional practice is guided by their ethical principles.

Practice description

Taking the first step to contacting me and committing to working with me, may seem daunting, and you may wish to check that I am the right person for you, and so I offer a free twenty-minute consultation, either on the phone or via Skype.  This session is designed to help you to decide if you want to work with me.

I am able to offer face to face therapy, in addition to online and telephone sessions, on a short-term or open-ended basis.

If you would like to talk about the things that are on your mind, but would prefer to walk and talk, then my Women's Walking Talking Therapy service is designed for you.

We can meet on a bench in a local park and we can simply stay there and talk, or we can take a walk at your pace, it is your choice on the day.  I will bring a large brolly!  My fee for these sessions are reduced at £50 per session.

Please feel free to ring me on 0746 995 1141 and if you leave me a message, I will assume that this gives me permission to call you back, and I will do so, within 48 hours. I look forward to speaking to you.
