About me and my therapy practice
I offer friendly and supportive person-centred counselling for adults age 18 plus. My aim is to do everything I can to provide a space in which you feel at ease to explore the issues you are struggling with, your needs and your concerns.... a safe space to talk.
Counselling is an instrument for change. It is a working relationship and we will work together to bring change about.
I offer sessions in two locations. Chorley sessions are held in the beautiful premises of Health at Heart, a stone's throw from St George's Church, a 7 minute walk from the train station and the bus station. Health at Heart is a holistic wellness centre. All therapy sessions at the centre are appointment only.
Being a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I work professionally to the ethical framework which puts your care at the heart of all the guidelines. I provide a caring, non-judgemental counselling service.
Alongside my private practice, I work with clients at the local Women's Centre and also provide volunteer counselling at a local hospice. I have experience of working with clients on the Mindsmatter/Talking Therapies IAPT programme and in Bereavement Counselling.
Areas I work in are Anxiety, Depression, Low Self Esteem, Bereavement, Loss, Low Self Confidence, Trauma, Family issues, Stress
Practice description
When you feel ready, I welcome your call or text message to my mobile number or please use the Íø±¬ÃÅ email link to the left of my profile. I feel it's really important to have an initial introductory chat. For you it's an opportunity to get a feel for the service and if it fits with what you are looking for. For me, it's an opportunity to gain an understanding of where you are with the difficulties you are experiencing and to assess if my skills match your requirements.
This also gives us an opportunity to discuss availability for sessions.
