Availability
I work Monday to Friday throughout the day and into the evenings when necessary. This is either online or face-to-face, and is totally up to you. I am accepting new clients currently. I have no plans to take time off in the near future, but all clients will be informed of any plans for holidays etc well in advance.
About me and my therapy practice
I like to encourage my client's to take the lead in sessions and talk about what is important to them at the time, however, am happy taking the lead if clients would prefer it. I use a person-centred approach with parts of other modalities like gestalt therapy. I do my sessions in a counselling room provided by St. Laurence Pastoral Centre in Northfield, B31, as well as doing online sessions on WhatsApp video and Zoom.
Practice description
You may have gone your entire life not talking about the things that matter to you, or are someone who is comfortable discussing those things with no issues whatsoever. With lots of space for new clients available, I am here to listen to anyone who is ready to talk. With a wealth of experience and success in working with those who struggle managing their relationships, I can help you make your relationships work for you, and go from unhealthy to healthy. I'm not limited to just working with relationships, I have also spent lots of time working with anxiety, low mood, childhood, and multiple other factors of life.
I provide a safe, caring space for you to process your emotions, where you can talk about anything that you feel is holding you back, bothering you, or deserves recognition. I'm an integrative counsellor who mainly uses a person-centred approach, as well as using some parts of gestalt therapy to bring it all together, meaning that you decide what we talk about, and in what detail.
I have worked consistently with clients living with anxiety, depression, self-image and relationship problems, alongside many other issues, meaning that as life happens outside of the counselling room, I am more than comfortable with adapting to new and changing situations as they happen, to support you as best I can.
If you are interested to see what my clients think of my work, my website, www.benjamineelescounselling.co.uk contains a review section, where some of my clients have submitted anonymous reviews, to help you see the benefits to counselling with myself.
If counselling is something that is foreign to you, it's time to change that, and if it's not, then welcome back! You've already made the toughest step by searching for help, you've found it now, let's get started.
My first session
Before the first session I will email you over the contract and any other documents that need signing, so that you have the option to complete this and send it back my way before the first session, or you can bring it with you to hand to me in person. If this isn't done, then we will spend the first part of the session signing these documents. This is followed by a GAD7 and PHQ9, which is done at the beginning of the session, and will be done every two weeks. This takes about two minutes of time to complete. After that, it is straight into counselling from there.
