About me and my therapy practice

I am a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I adapt how I work with clients depending on their presentation, using a range of modalities. I aim to help my clients find a balance between mind, body and soul, reconnecting with their authentic self.

I offer therapy in a number of ways, such as online/phone, home visits, in person at The Practice Rooms in Twickenham and in schools/workplaces around Kingston & Richmond with children and teens from aged 5+.

I have particular interest and experience working with adults around autism, anxiety, boarding school syndrome, depression, grief & loss, divorce, identity, sexuality and fantasies. I am comfortable with the uncomfortable and often hear the phrase, "I've never told anyone this before, but...".

I work with children in a creative and systemic way, often using non-verbal techniques to allow the young person to communicate, which I then integrate through conversations with parents and school staff.

I have a specialism in helping parents unpick some of their child's behaviours at school as well as home, discuss what might be going on and how these difficulties relate to their own experiences of early life. These might include separation anxiety, challenging behaviour, meltdowns, disrupted sleep, friendship difficulties, sibling rivalry, poor learning or neurodiversity.

Additionally, as a trainee at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) I am working towards a Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. As such, I am interested in working with individuals who may need support around sexual function problems whether you identify as AFAB, AMAB, Trans or Nonbinary, working with CSB, Kink Sexualities, Sexual Health and Fertility Matters, Disability, Sexual Trauma, Shame, Relationship Diversities, Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence.

Practice description

I start with a 20 minute call for you to give me a brief overview of what has brought you to seek help, and for me to explain a bit about how I work, where I am based, fees and expectations. Then we agree a starting date and move into face-to-face sessions.

I create a warm, safe environment to explore your material in a non-judgemental space. Much of the work begins as traditional talking therapy, going into detail about your situation and how it is effecting you.

We will naturally open up the sessions to explore how your material impacts your current relationships with family, friends and colleagues so that we can reflect on your early life and how that has moulded who you are today, as well as how you might learn from this to move forward.

I do not give advice or tell you what to do, rather we discuss your difficulties and discover various options, how you feel and what you might do to help yourself or those around you. I may challenge you to face your shadow, the parts of yourself that are hidden or shut off.

Oftentimes talking is not enough and so I use creative imagination techniques to listen to what your soul is trying to say, what your body is feeling, essentially finding a way to unravel what your mind cannot process or communicate.

Some of these practices are visualisations, healing through breath and sound, drawing and family trees to consider intergenerational trauma.

My first session

After our initial call I send through an assessment form to complete and an agreement with details around confidentiality, payment terms and such. Once I have received the forms and payment for the first session, I shall confirm you are booked in. The first session is usually spent quickly going over the assessment form with any new information and the agreement we have in place, getting used to the environment and setting the therapeutic container so that we can start on our journey through your material, together.
