About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking for a coach therapist? Are you drawn to to the forward momentum of coaching but want to work at psychological depth? I am a dual-qualified integrative therapist and coach. In addition to therapy sessions, I also offer Therapeutic Coaching for people who want sessions to be more goal-focused, and benefit from working with a dual-qualified practitioner who can attune to their needs and work safely at depth.

Are you deeply feeling? Do you notice that you prioritise other peoples' needs more than your own? Do you struggle to create space and boundaries for yourself? Maybe you have found it hard to assert your needs in the past? Maybe you feel like you need to hide behind a mask, or hide parts of yourself?

My practice is neuro-affirming.

I have lived experience of late diagnosed ADHD.

I can help you explore your tendency to people please, seek external validation or feel stuck or stifled by perfectionism. I can help you manage overwhelm.

I can help you get to know and connect to all your parts, messy ones included, so that you move towards self-acceptance, self-trust and better connection to yourself.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel overwhelmed or stuck? Do you struggle with confidence or feeling good enough? Do you want to feel better and more connected to yourself?

Counselling and coaching can help you overcome challenges, work through difficult emotions, manage change and give you awareness, clarity and a voice when you feel lost, connecting you back to yourself.

I'm a dual-qualified therapist coach and I can support you to build trust in yourself, carve out space for you, create better boundaries and work towards self-acceptance.

My approach is collaborative. As an integrative counsellor, I am trained in a number of therapy styles, which I blend into my practice, depending on what is right for you. I listen to what works for you and I welcome and encourage feedback. I'm also an accredited coach so can blend this approach into our work - or offer Therapeutic Coaching where I combine the goal-setting momentum of coaching with working safely at psychological depth.

I believe events in the past can influence the way a person thinks, feels and behaves in the present.

My skill is in attuning to your needs and how you like to work, so we will work this out together, whether that's through dialogue, working more creatively or using mapping tools such as timelines, which can help you to explore past stories and notice patterns of behaviour.

You can find out more about my style of therapy on my website.

Clients' thoughts:

"I have found working with Clio extremely helpful. She is kind, patient, understanding and solution focused. She helps me understand how my previous trauma affects me now. She makes me feel safe enough to talk about things that I find really hard to open up about and things I generally wouldn’t speak about with anyone. I would highly recommend her."

"I couldn’t recommend Clio enough. She helped me through a tough transitional period in my life & without her professional support I know the time would have been much tougher to navigate."

About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with self-esteem? Do you feel good enough? Perhaps you're having relationship struggles or navigating a  transition in your life.

Life can be overwhelming. Therapy and coaching give you a safe space to process difficult emotions, become more aware and gain clarity and a voice when you feel lost.

I work collaboratively with you so that you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and feel empowered to listen and respond to your needs.

Relationship is at the heart of what I do.

In our work together, the therapeutic relationship is our foundation. Counselling and coaching offers a safe space to connect and gently explore how we are in relationship.

My approach is person-centred and collaborative, which means I’m led by my client. You are the expert of you and I can help you tap into this intuition.

As an integrative counsellor (and accredited life coach), I'm trained in a number of therapy styles, such as Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, which I integrate, or blend, into my practice, depending on what is right for my client.

I believe that events in the past influence the way a person thinks, feels and behaves in the present. Using tools such as timelines and genograms can sometimes help us explore these past stories and notice patterns of behaviour. I'm also happy to work creatively if this is something that resonates for a client.

I'm interested in how our response to stress (when our body goes into fight/flight/freeze/fawn mode) can affect our behaviour and relationships. Some clients struggle to manage or name their emotions. Together we can start to notice these responses and find tools to calm.

With more awareness and understanding, you can move forward and create positive change.
