I’m Dr. Jade Copperwheat, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist offering online therapy to adults across the UK. I provide a warm, professional space where you can begin to explore what’s been difficult, make sense of your experiences, and move towards lasting change.
Sessions take place online via secure video, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space. I currently have availability on Tuesdays between 9am and 4pm. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult time, or simply curious about starting therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to answer any questions about how I work or availability.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
About me and my therapy practice
People often come to therapy feeling stuck — in patterns around food, anxiety, self-worth, or relationships — and unsure how to shift things on their own. My role is to support you in understanding these patterns with care and curiosity, so you can respond to yourself with more clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Practice description
I work integratively, which means I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to explore and shift unhelpful thought patterns
• Psychodynamic and schema-informed work – to understand how early experiences shape your present experiences
• Compassion-Focused Therapy – to strengthen your inner resources and emotional resilience
My practice is grounded in respect for your individuality and lived experience. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at your pace.
My first session
Before we meet, I’ll send you a short client assessment form to complete, which helps me get a sense of what’s been going on and how I can support you. The first session is a chance for us to begin exploring your reasons for seeking therapy and what you’d like to get from the process.
You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have all the answers. We’ll start by getting to know each other and discussing what’s felt difficult recently, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask some gentle questions to understand your current situation and hopes for therapy, and you’ll have space to ask any questions too.
The fee for the first session is the same as ongoing sessions: £150, with limited concession rates available at £135. All payments are made online ahead of the session.
There’s no pressure to commit straight away. After the first session, we’ll both have a clearer idea of whether it feels like a good therapeutic fit — and if so, we’ll agree on how to move forward together.
