About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Harriet. I offer individual counselling to adults in Bristol and online. If you are struggling with relationships, anxiety or the effects of past traumas, I can support you to find a clearer way forward with your life.
As an integrative counsellor, I am interested in you as a whole person – in your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual life. I offer a confidential space for you to explore your current life stresses, thoughts and emotions.
I listen to you without judgement and help you to understand what is happening for you in the present and if you wish, to look into the past and how this influences your life now. This exploration can help you make sense of your difficulties. It can also give insights and help you find a clearer way forward.
Practice description
I am an experienced counsellor, offering both long and short term counselling to adults. In counselling sessions, I may encourage you to notice bodily responses in relation to what we talk about, or to explore deeper emotions. I am also interested in how your history shapes how you live now – having an understanding of how the past shapes our present life can help us to be kinder to ourselves, and gives the opportunity to work through old emotions and beliefs. We may also explore childhood relationships and how they link to current emotions and thought patterns. Working through all of
My first session
It’s important to find a counsellor that you feel comfortable to work with. With this in mind, I offer an initial free phone consultation of up to 20 minutes – we can talk about what you’d like from counselling, a bit about how we can work together and I can answer any questions you have.
Initial and ongoing sessions cost £65 per session. Our first session is an opportunity for us both to make sure we are a good fit for working together.
