Hi, I'm Megan, it's good to have you here.
I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist who supports women during pregnancy and postpartum.
I work Wednesday and Friday daytimes and Saturday mornings. On a Wednesday, I work in Wilmslow. On all days, I work online.
I offer weekly 60-minute sessions at a cost of £70 each. I also offer ad-hoc 90-minute sessions which are an opportunity to pause and reflect on a specific aspect of your life in detail so you can leave with greater understanding of your situation and a plan of how to move forward. Each ad-hoc session costs £100.
I offer a free 20-minute introduction call to discuss what has brought you to reach out and how I can support you. You can use my website booking system to book in this call.
About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding yourself...
- Feeling low or depressed
- Struggling to manage emotions such as anger and sadness
- Experiencing intrusive, distressing thoughts, including about harming your baby
- Experiencing challenges in your relationships
- Feeling overwhelmed with stress, anxiety or feeling the need to be perfect
- Grieving after a miscarriage or baby loss
- Noticing past challenges, including childhood experiences, resurfacing
- Finding that a difficult or traumatic birth experience is still impacting you
- Struggling to adjust to your new identity, life, or body
These experiences are very common in pregnancy and postpartum.
You are going through a time of many changes: your identity, your relationships, your hormones, your sleep, and the time you have for yourself and the things that once helped you cope.
Struggling during such a significant life change is not a reflection of how much you love your baby or how good a mother you are. It simply means you’re may need some extra support to help you navigate the changes that come with this new chapter.
I support women to navigate these challenges, build resilience, and discover greater confidence and joy in motherhood.
I can support you to...
- Feel more confident as a mum by learning to turn down your inner critical voice
- Feel more grounded and in control by gaining tools to manage overwhelming stress, anxiety, and emotions
- Rediscover joy in motherhood by gently challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns
- Remove distress from intrusive thoughts and no longer feel compelled to do compulsive behaviours
- Improve relationships by understanding how past experiences shape current patterns
- Find space to grieve after miscarriage or baby loss in a warm, compassionate environment
- Begin to heal after a traumatic birth by being supported to process what happened
- Grow into your new identity and life as a parent and make self-aware decisions that feel right for you
- Be more present in motherhood by having space to process and move forward from past challenges
