About me and my therapy practice
I am an Existential Psychotherapist with nearly a decade of experience working with a wide range of clients, including individuals, couples, parent–child dyads, adolescents, and families through systemic therapy.
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space in which you can begin to explore the concerns that have brought you to therapy. Through attentive listening, gentle questioning, and an invitation to narrate your life story, I foster a strong therapeutic alliance that supports reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
My approach centres on curiosity and openness, encouraging clients to move beyond fixed labels or diagnoses to uncover new perspectives on themselves and their lives. In doing so, I aim to help you cultivate greater self-awareness, agency, and choice in how you respond to life’s challenges, while acknowledging the powerful role of cultural, societal, and familial influences.
I work with a broad spectrum of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, eating difficulties, relationship issues, addictions, self-esteem, grief, and loss. I have a particular passion for supporting clients through bereavement and the many forms of loss that touch our lives. Most recently, I reflected deeply on the impact of the global pandemic, which magnified experiences of isolation, loneliness, and limitation, and highlighted the universal need for meaning in the face of suffering.
I am currently studying towards a Master’s in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling. I also hold a BSc in Marketing with a minor in Psychology, as well as an MBA. After a decade of corporate experience in Human Resources, she embarked on a personal journey that led her to retrain as a psychotherapist.
Shruti is a Member of Íø±¬ÃÅ (MÍø±¬ÃÅ) and Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC), as well as the UPCA in the UK.
Practice description
The therapist–client relationship facilitates self-exploration and reflection—essential processes through which meaningful transformation and change can occur. As we move through this narration together, we uncover truths with openness, curiosity, and wonder, setting aside pre-existing diagnoses or labels to form new perspectives of ourselves.
As a therapist, I aim to create a space where you can explore and find meaning in the face of challenges. Together, we work carefully to build greater awareness, reflection, and control over your thoughts and actions; to confront internal struggles; and to recognise the impact of external influences such as societal pressures, cultural expectations, and family dynamics.
In working existentially, I emphasise that therapy is not about agendas or fixed diagnoses. Instead, it is about learning to make more intentional choices about how to live—drawing on creativity, agency, and love—rather than being solely shaped by external forces or circumstances.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, eating difficulties, relationship issues, addictions, grief and loss, self-esteem, loneliness, sadness, and life transitions. My particular passion lies in supporting clients through grief and loss, which touches every aspect of our lives. Most recently, the global pandemic amplified collective experiences of loss—of loved ones, of connection, of freedom, and of space—bringing many to confront isolation, loneliness, and limitation in profound ways.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is not about imposing agendas, but about creating space for clients to make more intentional decisions about how to live—with creativity, agency, and love—rather than being solely shaped by external forces.

Practice description
The therapist-client relationship will facilitate self-exploration and reflection; the predominant processes via which we are able to transform and make changes we would like to. As we move through this narration, we will uncover truths with an open mind and an attitude of wonder and curiosity, casting aside pre-existing diagnoses or labels to form a new perspective of ourselves.
As a therapist, I aim to create a space in which you can further your efforts of finding meaning in the face of challenges. You would work cautiously to enable: a larger awareness, reflection and control over your thoughts and actions, to confront internal challenges, as well as learn the impacts of external influences and how to manoeuvre through them. These can include societal pressures, cultural limitations, and familial influence amongst many others. In working existentially, I emphasize to my clients that I don't work with an agenda or pre-existing diagnoses, albeit maybe the One: You learn to make more wilful decisions about how to live, drawing on creativity, agency and love, instead of letting external forces or events determine your behaviour and relational patterns.
I work with all concerns that may bring you to therapy, be it anger management, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, addictions, grief and loss, self-esteem, loneliness, sadness, and life coaching, these are just some examples. I have worked extensively with and feel my passion is working with grief and loss as it precipitates every aspect of our lives. Most recently, the pandemic has been a global experience in which humanity suffered exponential loss and many of us grieved over many issues such as isolation, loneliness, limitations/restrictions in living, physical space, and death, these are just some concerns amongst many others.
