About me and my therapy practice

My welcoming you is an acknowledgement to understanding yourself in a deeper relational way. 

We will discover together, your beliefs about you and your life, enabling you to be curious about how you have perceived the world and people around you. 

The willingness you have in you to try new ways of connecting to others, will be the path to you being able to live authentically, the way you want, with whom you want, living in the present.

My passion lies in understanding how we manage our need to connect and relate to people in our lives. As human beings we are innately driven to connect with people, literally for our survival, this is what being human means, to connect and attach.

From our imprinting in childhood to making sense of our thinking and feelings, is a lifelong quest, a learning that is like no other, because it means you are learning how to explore differently, be curious, understand your thinking, and to heal.

This learning is about you.

Practice description

I offer you a safe & non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace which feels right for you.

I have a warm, relational approach offering a harmonious platform to work together bringing fuller understanding of yourself & your life. I will help you to navigate the parts of life which you’ve found difficult to face alone.

I work with people from different backgrounds with a variety of problems, I integrate a range of approaches, adapting how I work to best meet the needs of the person sitting in front of me. 

Talking about your situation can feel daunting, reaching out to talk could be what it takes to stop suppressing these concerns, which can help your health & well-being.

My first session

The first session will be a gentle and respectful way of getting to know each other. I will ask questions that will enable me to build a picture of you when you were growing up and some significant events that happened in your life. This could be in the form of a time line from birth to current day.

I am able to complete a genogram in the first session if this is what is agreed or required from our initial consultation.
