About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling to connect to your sense of self? Perhaps you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, low or uncertain, or needing to make sense of parts of your identity and experiences.

I take a relational and integrative approach, drawing from various techniques to best support your unique needs. Therapy can foster self-awareness, growth, and change while providing a space to process life experiences, both past and present. I consider factors such as your culture, ethnicity, race and gender, recognising their impact on the challenges you may be facing.

We can work together to:

Empower you to connect with and embrace your authentic self

Build healthy coping strategies for stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.

Gain insight into how your experiences and past has shaped you.

Explore family dynamics and interpersonal relationships.

I work from a lens that offers a supportive and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds. Above all, these sessions are yours—I am committed to ensuring your therapeutic needs and goals remain at the forefront, honouring your lived experiences every step of the way.

I use a combination of Person-Centred therapy, Attachment theory and Cognitive-behavioural therapy in an integrative approach to provide sessions that match your personal goals and needs.

There may be a number of reasons for seeking counselling and sometimes the reasons might not be completely clear. That is ok, we will work together to better understand what is going on. Deciding to start can be difficult and it is vital to me that you feel comfortable and respected in your journey.

I have experience delivering counselling and therapy in mental health services, occupational health & workplace settings, and private practise.

My special interests are in working with women struggling with  aspects of their mental health, self-worth and identity, and as well as working with individuals processing around cultural issues.

Practice description

I offer both short-term and long-term sessions. I see clients  face-to-face in Leicester's city centre, as well as online.

I initially offer a free initial 20-minute phone consultation to explore what working together might look like. If you are interested in working with me then please do get in touch.

My first session

If you are interested in working together after speaking on the phone, the next step would then be booking in an assessment. The assessment is a detailed opportunity to discuss in-depth what brings you to counselling, your personal history and what your individual therapeutic goals are. We would also at this point discuss in a more bespoke manner what your therapy/counselling sessions may look like, including exploring how long we might work together.

Availability

I have availability for online supervision. I will have availability for face-to-face supervision from November onwards.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist offering a warm, reflective, and collaborative space for supervisees to explore their clinical work and professional development. My therapeutic training is grounded in Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and this is the foundation of my work. I integrate this with a relational lens that values authenticity, empathy, and connection.

My supervision style is rooted in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet, 2012), providing a rich and dynamic framework for exploring both the client–therapist relationship and the supervisory relationship. Alongside this, I integrate the principles of Working Within Diversity (Khan, 2020), ensuring space to thoughtfully consider how intersectionality. I'm interested in how aspects such as culture, race, ethnicity, and lived experience shape both our clients’ worlds and our own professional identities, and interact with each other influencing relational dynamics.

I meet supervisees with a balance of containment, curiosity, and professionalism, aiming to create an environment that feels both safe and stretching. My focus is on attuning to the supervisee’s developmental needs, supporting their confidence, clinical thinking, and self-awareness, while also holding ethical and professional standards in mind.

I particularly enjoy supporting therapists in exploring the impact of identity within therapeutic work, and in developing their own authentic voice as practitioners. I also offer guidance with Íø±¬ÃÅ accreditation and setting up or developing a private practice, helping supervisees to navigate the practical and emotional aspects of their professional growth.

Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced therapist seeking a reflective and supportive space, my aim is to provide supervision that nurtures your development, deepens your clinical understanding, and honours the complexities of the therapeutic encounter.

Practice description

You can expect a relationship that is attuned, reflective, and collaborative. I meet supervisees where they are, offering curiosity, gentle challenge, and steady support as you sit in and further develop confidence and depth in your work. My intention is to create a supervision space that encourages openness, growth, and ongoing professional development. It's important to me that this is a place where you can bring both your strengths and uncertainties and feel supported and grounded to evolve as a practitioner.

My first session

In supervision, I aim to offer a space that is boundaried yet flexible, responsive to your professional journey, developmental stage, and individual needs. During the initial assessment or first supervision session we would explore what you’re looking for from supervision and to agree how best to work together. This would include exploration around frequency, length, and format of sessions to meet your supervision requirements.

I offer flexibility in how sessions are arranged, ensuring they fit around your practice and professional commitments while maintaining the consistency and containment needed for effective supervision.
