About me and my therapy practice

I am a compassionate and integrative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate their inner world with empathy and understanding. I work with Internal Family Systems principles, psychodynamic counseling, and attachment theory to offer a holistic and deeply empathetic approach.

I have been working at Lighthouse Counseling, based in Gravesend, for the past six years, where I support a diverse range of clients dealing with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and bereavement. Alongside this, I now offer private practice in Rainham, with both online and in-person sessions.

As a member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I adhere to their ethical framework, ensuring the highest standards of counseling and evidence-based practice.

I take a creative approach to therapy, using tools like sand trays, nesting dolls, and emotion cards to help you explore and express yourself in a comfortable way.

I can help you understand yourself better, identify and overcome negative thought patterns, build coping strategies, raise your self-esteem, and process any traumas or difficulties you may have faced. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to heal at your own pace.

Having navigated my own struggles with depression, low self-esteem, and confidence, I truly understand the importance of empathy and support.

I am here to walk with you on your journey, providing the care and guidance you need.

Practice description

I offer face-to-face sessions in a confidential and peaceful space located in Rainham High Street, easily accessible along the A2. The practice is in a warm and welcoming room, designed to create a comfortable environment for you to explore your thoughts and emotions safely.

If travel is an issue or if coming in person feels like a step too far, we can arrange online sessions via Zoom. This option allows us to meet from the comfort of your own home, ensuring you still receive the support you need, no matter your location.

I hold professional insurance, I am a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I am DBS checked, and registered with the Data Information Communications Office, ensuring that all sessions are safe, secure, and fully compliant with professional standards.

My first session

The first session will be a 50-minute assessment where we’ll talk through a series of questions to better understand why you’re seeking counselling, what you hope to achieve, and how I can best support you. We’ll also explore your current coping strategies, your support system, and any mental health or health concerns that might influence our work together. This session is charged at £55, which is the same rate as a regular session. It will also give us both the opportunity to assess whether we’re a good fit for each other and if we can move forward together in the therapeutic process.
