About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist based in North West London (NW11). You might be feeling stuck, anxious, low in mood, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating in your life or relationships. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of these experiences, and find new ways of relating to yourself and others.
In our sessions, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you. Psychodynamic therapy helps uncover the deeper roots of distress, often shaped by past experiences, so that lasting change can take place. By understanding what lies beneath the surface, you can begin to feel more grounded, self-aware, and emotionally free.
I offer one-to-one sessions in a confidential and supportive setting. My approach is thoughtful, curious, and attuned to what you bring, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, loss, or a sense of meaning.
Alongside my private practice, I work full-time in clinical health psychology within the NHS. I have extensive experience supporting people living with cancer and life-limiting illnesses, and I’ve worked with clients from diverse backgrounds across a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma, identity struggles, anger, body image concerns, psychosomatic symptoms and more.
I’m registered with both the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ).
If you’d like to explore how therapy could help, please feel free to get in touch.
Practice description
I usually work with people over an extended period, often in an open-ended way, allowing time for deeper reflection and lasting change. Where a shorter-term focus feels more appropriate, we can also work together in a time-limited format.
Sessions are available in person at my private consulting room in North West London, or remotely via secure online video or phone.
If you have any questions or would like to explore whether therapy might be right for you, please feel free to get in touch. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss what you’re looking for and how I may be able to help.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and explore what brings you to therapy. You’re welcome to talk about whatever feels important, and it can also be a chance to get a sense of how it feels to speak with me and whether this way of working feels right for you. We can discuss any questions you might have, as well as practicalities such as session times and frequency. It’s really an initial meeting, a space to get a feel for one another and see whether this feels like the kind of therapy that could be helpful for you.
