About me and my therapy practice

I’m Kerry, a Somatic Trauma Therapist in Wiltshire, and I understand how overwhelming life can feel when old coping strategies and relationships no longer serve you.

Together, we’ll first focus on creating a secure foundation, then, when you’re ready, we’ll gently explore the parts of your story that still affect you today, weaving new insights and coping tools into your daily life. Healing those parts of you isn’t a straight line, you might return to that secure base to practice new skills, let fresh insights settle in, or pause after a deeper session to rest and digest what’s come up before moving forward. There is no time limit, no rush, you set the pace.

There’s no need to relive every detail, we focus only on what feels safe and useful, because therapy is about how your past shows up now, not dissecting every chapter. You’re not broken, you’ve been managing the best way you know how and in our one-to-one sessions (in person or online) I’ll offer simple, jargon-free tools, breathwork, body awareness, gentle movement, and self-regulation techniques to support you between meetings.

Having taken that brave first step into therapy myself over the years, I know how vulnerable it can feel, and I’ll walk alongside you with warmth and compassion, at exactly the pace you need, so you feel heard, secure, and ready to open a new chapter of growth.

Practice description

Hi there, take a deep breath, you’ve already done the hardest part by reading this. I’m your friendly Somatic Trauma Therapist, here to walk beside you (not run ahead), tune into your story, and tailor every step to what you need. I blend different approaches so the process feels just right for you and most importantly, at your pace.

Our sessions are your judgment-free zone. Maybe your old coping tricks once helped you survive, but now they’re more like rusty tools in a modern toolbox. Together, we’ll gently unpack those patterns and shine a light on what’s holding you back, kind of like spring cleaning for the soul. I’ll match my pace to yours, whether that means tip-toeing or marching, and hand you new tools, breathing exercises, body awareness techniques, simple movement, to help you feel anchored and grounded, even when anxiety knocks.

A good dose of curiosity can transform what feels overwhelming into real opportunities for growth.

Our goal? For you to leave each session feeling a little more seen, a little more confident, lighter, and a lot more hopeful about the path ahead of you.

Whenever you’re ready, I’m here.

My first session

I know it can feel daunting and even a bit scary to meet someone new, especially when you’re inviting them into your story. That’s exactly why our first session is a free, 30-minute online meeting designed just for you. There’s no commitment, no pressure, just a gentle, secure space where you set the pace.

We’ll spend our time together, talking through what’s led you here and what you hope to achieve.

Ill be answering any questions you have about my background and how I work. I’ll let you know about the Humanistic, Integrative, and Somatic Trauma therapies I draw on, so you have a clear picture of the tools in our toolbox.

We will be checking in on how you feel in this space, if it feels right, we can plan our next steps,  if it doesn’t, that’s okay too.

If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we’ll generally pick a regular weekly slot that fits around your life. We can discuss any other alternatives. That way, you have a consistent appointment reserved just for you, a safe enough harbour where we can explore deeper work over time.

Meeting someone for the first time can stir up nerves, but remember, you’re in control here. I’m here to listen, to support, and to help you decide whether I’m the right person to walk alongside you on this journey. I look forward to meeting you and taking that first brave step together.
