About me and my therapy practice

Íø±¬ÃÅ

Hello, my name is Enos and I am a person-centred counsellor.

Bit of a mouth full but I will try to break it all down for you. Firstly Enos, that's my name (biblical), make of it what you wish.

Secondly, person-centred, which simply means you, the client. The focus is you, your preference, needs, your personal values. My role as counsellor is to provide you the safe space that enables you to express yourself openly and freely, without fear of judgements. Be it bereavement, separation, addiction, abuse, illness, suicide, lack of confidence, etc, anything that matters to you, matters to me.

Easier said than done right. Past experience of not being respected, ignored, your feelings being ignored. Why would you want to talk to a complete stranger.

As a person-centred counsellor I am aware of loss, anxiety, anger and many more for myself and in others. I want you to know that you matter and what you choose to share matters. I aim to work in collaboration with you to facilitate the necessary self awareness and personal growth to find your voice and potential.

All this is achieved through the creation of the therapeutic relationship that we will have established. This relationship is built from respect, trust, honesty and transparency. Sounds easy and it is to some degree for the counsellor, but it may take you time to make a connection.

Always remember, it's your decision, your choice.

If you choose counselling then we will work in partnership, at a pace you determine. I will not direct or lead you,I will take my queues from you offering you empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence throughout.
