About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Sarah and I want to help you feel better about yourself and your life. I believe that counselling can help you struggle less, enjoy life more, feel more confident and improve your relationship with yourself and others.

You might feel that you are in a constant battle with anxiety, that you are feeling stuck or you are trying to come to terms with a life that is very different from what you knew before.

I always offer to have an initial conversation by phone to see if you feel I am the right person for you to open up to.

I offer long term or short therapy either online or by telephone, these can be open-ended or for a fixed number of sessions. We can regularly review your experience and progress together and choose whether there are specific issues you want to focus on in your sessions or whether you want to bring how you are feeling each week.

I offer online and telephone counselling sessions to individual adults.

Practice description

What really matters here is you, what you are looking for and whether you feel I can offer this to you.

Life can bring many challenges and difficulties, which leave you feeling anxious, stuck or overwhelmed or keeping you awake at night.

Maybe you find it hard to admit that you need help and reach out for support but we all need help and support and sometimes you need that from someone outside of your circle or family and friends, perhaps I can be that person for you?

• Do you find yourself with the Sunday scaries every week before work starts again on Monday?

• Are you wondering if you might be neurodivergent or have a recent diagnosis and this is making you look at your life and past very differently?

• Are you in a constant battle with anxiety?

• Are you struggling in a current relationship or to move on from previous a relationship?

• Has there been a big change in your life which it feels very hard to adjust to?

You can share what you are feeling and thinking with me, without risk of feeling dismissed, that you are complaining or you are not worth someone’s time to listen. I promise you, you are worth my time.

We will work in a way that benefits you, with what you bring to our sessions, whether it is something you have already been thinking about or something that comes up in the course of our time together.

You may have feelings or have had experiences that may be difficult or painful and feel the instinct to avoid thinking about or suppress them or there could be some things you have never felt able to share, I can be someone you can open to without feeling overwhelmed.

Together we may look at your life and experiences and how they may they have shaped the person you are today and whether this has any influence on why you might be struggling now.

If you think I might be able to help you, please get in touch. I always respond as quickly as possible.

My first session

I am happy to have an initial chat with you to find out what you need help with and whether I might be the right fit for you.

In our first session, I will ask you what you about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. I will also ask you general questions about your wellbeing and about your family and relationships with others. We talk about any issues you would like to focus on as well as answering any questions you may have about how we can work together.
