About me and my therapy practice

A Collaborative and Human Approach

Therapy is a deeply human and collaborative process. My approach is grounded in person-centred counselling, meaning you are at the heart of the work - your experiences, feelings and pace guide our sessions. I draw on an integrative framework, adapting a range of therapeutic models to meet your unique needs. This may include:

  • Exploring trauma
  • Managing anxiety
  • Healing from depression
  • Navigating relationship challenges

A Space for Understanding and Growth

In our work together, you'll find a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel genuinely heard and understood. I offer presence and empathy rather than quick fixes or rigid techniques. We explore patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back, gently uncovering the emotional layers beneath.

This process helps build:

  • Self-awareness
  • Emotional insight
  • Lasting internal change

Shaped by Your Needs

I work collaboratively, meaning your goals and values shape the direction of therapy. Whether you’re looking to better understand yourself, move through emotional pain, or change patterns in your relationships, I adapt the process to what feels right for you.

Reconnecting with Yourself

My aim is to support you in:

  • Reconnecting with your authentic self
  • Strengthening resilience
  • Developing a more compassionate inner voice

Therapy takes time, but it can become a powerful space for healing and transformation. If you're ready to begin - or simply curious - I invite you to get in touch.

You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we can find a way forward.

Practice description

A Space Where You’re Valued

Welcome to a therapy space where you are heard, supported, and respected. My practice is built on a person-centred, integrative approach, tailored to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re struggling with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Feeling lost or disconnected

You’ll find a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where your experiences can be safely explored.

A Collaborative Journey

In our work together, you won’t receive one-size-fits-all solutions or be rushed through your process. Instead, therapy is a collaborative journey, shaped by your needs, goals, and pace. I draw on a range of therapeutic models to offer a flexible, responsive approach that honours your preferences and lived experience.

What to Expect

You can expect sessions focused on:

  • Deep listening and authentic connection
  • Exploring emotional patterns and stuckness
  • Building self-awareness and emotional insight
  • Developing strategies to navigate life with more confidence and resilience

My aim is to support you in reconnecting with your authentic self, fostering healing, and promoting growth in a space that feels safe and containing.

You're Not Alone

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve tried it before, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, care, and patience. This is a space to bring your whole self - free from judgment - where real change can emerge through understanding, acceptance, and trust.

My first session

Beginning the Process

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting or uncertain, which is why I offer a free, informal call lasting up to 60 minutes, either by phone or video. This is a relaxed opportunity for us to connect - so you can get a sense of how I work, ask any questions, and see whether you feel comfortable moving forward.

There’s no pressure or commitment at this stage - just space to explore if we’re a good fit.

What Happens on the Call

During the call, I’ll listen carefully to what’s bringing you to therapy, while giving you the space to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. You might wish to talk about:

  • What you’re struggling with
  • What you’re hoping for
  • Any previous therapy experiences
  • What you need to feel safe and supported

This conversation helps me understand your needs and expectations, and supports you in feeling more confident about the process ahead.

Moving Forward Together

If you decide to continue, the first formal session focuses on:

  • Getting to know you more deeply
  • Exploring your history and life context
  • Clarifying your goals for therapy
  • Agreeing on practicalities like session frequency, confidentiality, and boundaries

I work collaboratively, ensuring the process is tailored to what feels most supportive and manageable for you.

A Gentle Start

Therapy is a partnership, and I believe feeling safe, heard, and respected from the beginning is essential to building a strong foundation for our work. Whether you're new to counselling or returning after past experiences, this initial call offers a gentle, human way to begin exploring the possibility of change.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange our first conversation, I warmly encourage you to get in touch.
