About me and my therapy practice

Do you long to feel differently鈥攂ut don鈥檛 know where to begin?

If you鈥檙e thinking of starting counselling, you might be feeling anxious?

鈥 Lost or fed up鈥攖ired of carrying heavy thoughts about yourself that just won鈥檛 shift?

鈥 Maybe you鈥檙e stuck in cycles of self-criticism, low self-worth, low self esteem or uncomfortable feelings about your body or identity? Not sure who you are anymore?

鈥 You might be finding it hard to trust yourself, your emotions may feel too much or not enough, and may be coming out in ways you can鈥檛 always control?

鈥 Perhaps old memories sit close to the surface, or anxiety keeps pulling you away from the life you want to live?

Counselling can be a place to start鈥攕omewhere to feel supported, seen, and gently begin to understand what鈥檚 really going on beneath the surface.

What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel daunting and you might wonder:

鈥 鈥淲ill they really get it?鈥

鈥 鈥淲hat if my problems are too much鈥攐r not enough?鈥

鈥 鈥淲ill I feel judged or misunderstood?鈥

I understand those fears.

That鈥檚 why I offer a free 20-minute consultation鈥攖o help you get a feel for how I work, ask any questions (no question is silly), and explore whether this could be the right fit.

Sessions are led by you, at your pace. I鈥檒l walk alongside you with care and curiosity, always working with you and without pressure.

Our early experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world. Sometimes, we lose touch with who we really are. My job is to help you to understand how that happened, and to look at what you want now, so you can live the life you really want.

Practice description

I am an Integrative counsellor which means that I'll get to know you and work with you to find out what works for you.

If you're someone who spends your life being there for others, but struggle to extend that same care towards yourself, I will support you to develop compassion and to support your own wellbeing.

I specialise in embodied and somatic work which means that I don鈥檛 just offer talking therapy. I also support you to tune into the feelings and sensations that are stored in your body. This can be helpful if you are struggling with anxiety, low self worth or trauma.

Listening to your body can help you to understand the things that your brain can鈥檛 quite put into words.

It helps with:

鈥 letting go of painful memories

鈥 regulating emotions

鈥 managing anxiety

Albert Einstein said that 鈥淲e cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.鈥 But it can be hard to know how to change our thinking, so instead I like to work creatively, so you can see things in different ways. This may mean, writing things down, drawing, using gentle movement, breathwork, guided visualisations or using objects such as stones or cards to think out of the box.

You already hold the wisdom you need鈥攎y role is to help you uncover it.

I work with adults and young people experiencing issues such as:

鈥 Trauma & PTSD

鈥 Anxiety & overwhelm

鈥 People-pleasing & Perfectionism

鈥 Low self-worth & Low Self esteem

鈥 Childhood abuse

鈥 Disconnection & emotional numbness

Ready to begin?

My clients often tell me they feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to who they are. They begin to set boundaries, trust themselves again, and feel more at home in their own skin.

If you鈥檙e ready to explore how therapy might support you, let鈥檚 talk.

My first session

Trauma, Anxiety & Low Self-Esteem

If you鈥檝e experienced trauma鈥攚hether physical, emotional, or sexual abuse鈥攜ou may find it hard to trust, speak openly, or feel safe in your own body. I want to gently reassure you: there鈥檚 no pressure to share anything before you鈥檙e ready. Healing happens at your pace, and you will be met with compassion, not judgement.

I offer a calm, confidential space where you will be believed and supported. Together, we can begin to:

鈥 Make sense of what鈥檚 happened and how it still affects you

鈥 Understand and manage anxiety and flashbacks

鈥 Release shame, blame or self-criticism

鈥 Explore your relationships and emotional responses

鈥 Reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe

鈥 Regain a sense of control and possibility

You may also be navigating anxiety鈥攔acing thoughts, brain fog, tightness in your chest, or a sense of overwhelm that makes daily life feel harder than it should. Anxiety is a normal human response, but when it takes over, it can stop you from living the life you want.

Therapy can help you:

Understand the roots of your anxiety

Learn tools to calm your nervous system

Build confidence to face life鈥檚 challenges

If low self-esteem or low self-worth is part of your experience, you might find yourself constantly second-guessing your choices, over-apologising, or worrying what others think. You may be stuck in cycles of self-criticism鈥攁ware that your inner voice is harsh but unsure how to change it.

Our work together can help you:

Recognise and shift critical inner dialogue

Develop greater self-compassion

Build a stronger sense of who you are and what you need

Whatever you're carrying, you don鈥檛 have to do it alone. Let鈥檚 begin鈥攇ently, together.

  • Understand the roots of your anxiety
  • Learn tools to calm your nervous system
  • Build confidence to face life鈥檚 challenges

About me and my therapy practice

About me

Supporting you to reconnect with yourself, gently and whole-heartedly 鈥 body, mind and soul.

I'm an Integrative Embodied Counsellor and Coach, offering a warm, trauma-informed and relational space to support people experiencing anxiety, low self-worth, or disconnection from themselves. I specialise in helping clients who carry the belief that they are 鈥渘ot good enough鈥 鈥 a belief often rooted in early life experiences.

My approach combines talking therapy with somatic awareness, supporting clients to understand how past experiences have shaped both their thoughts and their bodies. Through gentle embodiment work, you can begin to feel safer, more connected, and more able to live from your values.

What I offer

I work with adults who may be:

鈥 Struggling with anxiety, burnout or emotional overwhelm

鈥 Living with the effects of trauma, grief or neglect

鈥 Feeling disconnected, people-pleasing, or unsure of who they are

鈥 Longing to rebuild self-trust and live more authentically

How I work

Together we explore how your nervous system responds to stress, and how to soothe, regulate and reconnect with your body鈥檚 wisdom. Sessions may include breathwork, mindfulness, movement or creative tools 鈥 always at your pace and with your consent.

Whether you're navigating a current challenge or healing long-held wounds, therapy can help you understand yourself more fully and move toward a more grounded, compassionate way of being.

I will also soon be offering a digital self-led programme called My Good Enough Heart, which complements therapy by specifically supporting women to explore and shift their internalised beliefs around not being good enough.

Practice description

As an Integrative Embodied Counsellor and Coach my job is to support clients to restore connection between mind, body and soul. I work holistically to help you understand yourself more deeply and reconnect with who you truly are鈥攅specially if you鈥檙e carrying wounds from difficult childhoods or past experiences that have impacted your self-esteem or sense of worth.

Embodied therapy is about gently tuning into how your body responds to both daily life and past experiences.

Maybe your chest tightens when you step into a shop, or your breath shortens in a group. Maybe conflict leaves you drained and dissociated. These reactions are the body鈥檚 wisdom speaking鈥攂ut often, they feel overwhelming or confusing. You don鈥檛 have to navigate them alone.

Together, we鈥檒l explore how your body holds emotion, helping you make meaningful links between your inner experiences and physical sensations. This understanding can unlock greater self-compassion and choice.

Like talking therapy, this is about going inward鈥攂ut embodied therapy adds the deep intelligence of the body. We鈥檙e not just making sense of the past with our minds鈥攚e鈥檙e also creating safety and healing from within.

I tailor sessions uniquely for you, drawing from practices such as:

Mindfulness & meditation

Movement & breathwork

Visual & creative tools

This work is about meeting yourself where you are鈥攚ith care, curiosity, and compassion

My first session

What to Expect in Our First Sessions

In order to begin healing, we first need to create a sense of emotional and physical safety. This can be challenging if past experiences have left you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or out of control. That鈥檚 why, in our early sessions, we鈥檒l gently focus on building trust and discovering what helps you feel safe, grounded, and supported.

Together, we鈥檒l explore techniques and tools to help you:

Calm anxiety

Self-soothe

Reconnect when feeling disconnected or dissociated

Build a sense of inner control

Develop trust in yourself

Identify, feel, and express emotions

Understand and release held emotional patterns

You鈥檒l begin to make links between your past experiences and how they live in your body today. This embodied understanding鈥攚hat I call healing from the inside out鈥攃an help you develop deep self-compassion and make sense of the 鈥渨hy鈥 behind your thoughts and feelings. You may start to see how the belief that you鈥檙e "not good enough" or the habit of self-doubt has been shaped by what you鈥檝e lived through鈥攏ot who you truly are.

From this place of understanding, you can begin to make choices that feel aligned with your needs, values, and inner truth鈥攏ot just for surviving life, but for adapting, growing, and thriving.

Booking & Fees

I offer a free 20-minute consultation (by phone or online) so you can ask any questions and see if we鈥檙e a good fit.

If you choose to begin counselling, sessions are 拢60 and can be held online or in person. Payment is due 48 hours in advance of each session.

Why 'Heartspace'?

My practice is called heartspace because, for me, therapy is about connecting from the heart鈥攚ith presence, compassion, and real listening. Whether we鈥檙e working together one-to-one or in a group, my intention is to support you in moving from heartbreak to heartspace: a place of deeper connection with yourself and the life you truly want to live.
