About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can feel safe to explore what’s going on for you. Whether you're feeling anxious, low in self-worth, facing a significant life transition or living with depression, therapy can provide the support and clarity needed to move forward.

My approach is humanistic and person-centred, which means I focus on your unique experience and inner resources. When appropriate, I integrate elements from other therapeutic models to best support your needs. Together, we can explore your values, emotions, relationships, and the changes you want to make.

I have worked with people across a wide range of life stages and circumstances, including:

- Individuals with life-limiting conditions or approaching the end of life

- People navigating issues related to faith and spirituality

- Those experiencing relationship difficulties, divorce or family challenges

- Individuals struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or depression

I have a particular interest in attachment styles, personality differences, and relationship dynamics, and how these influence our emotional wellbeing and interpersonal patterns.

Authenticity is at the heart of my practice. I aim to support you in connecting with your true self—helping you better understand who you are and what matters to you, especially during times of difficulty or transition.

Practice description

I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call so you can ask any questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether I’m the right fit for you. If you prefer, I’m also happy to answer initial questions via email.

If you choose to move forward, sessions are held weekly and last 50 minutes. These can be in person or online, depending on what suits you best. We will work at your pace, and there is no expectation to commit long-term, some people come for just 6 sessions, others for longer. We can regularly review how things are going to ensure the work remains helpful to you.

My practice is rooted in person-centred values, meaning I believe in your capacity for growth and change. I’ll offer a space where you can feel heard, accepted and supported without judgement. While I work from a humanistic foundation, I may integrate aspects of other approaches if they feel helpful to you, always with collaboration and transparency.

You may be coming to therapy with a clear issue, or with a general sense that things aren’t quite right. Either way, you are welcome. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and I’m experienced in supporting people through a range of emotional difficulties, life transitions and relational challenges.

My first session

The first session will be more of an initial assessment so we can discuss what you want from counselling in terms of your goals. This time is also to discuss how we will work together, what counselling is and isn't, and to get to know each other a little bit.
