About me and my therapy practice
I am a Registered Member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and an Integrative Counsellor, with experience supporting individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. My approach draws on person-centred and psychodynamic principles, allowing me to tailor therapy to your unique needs and help you explore both present concerns and deeper, underlying patterns.
In addition to my private practice, I work in a corporate setting where I deliver specialised training on topics such as Mental Health in the Workplace, Stress Management, and Secondary/Vicarious Trauma. I also provide ongoing well-being support to employees within the organisation.
Previously, I volunteered with Number22 Counselling Agency, offering therapy to both adults and young people. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an Operations Manager in an NHS service, where I focused on promoting health, safety, and well-being across teams. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the complex challenges people face in both their personal and professional lives.
Practice description
I offer a supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore difficult thoughts and emotions. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, which allows me to adapt our work to suit your individual needs. This means we can explore your present concerns while also looking at how past experiences may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
I have experience working with adults facing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, panic attacks, trauma, and intrusive or troubling thoughts. I work with clients aged 18 and over, offering sessions online via Zoom.
My first session
I understand that starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s important to find the right fit for you. To help with this, I offer an initial 30-minute consultation over Zoom.
This initial chat is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to counselling, what you hope to gain from it, and how I work. I’ll also explain the practical aspects, such as confidentiality, scheduling, and payment, so you can decide whether you'd feel comfortable working with me.
