About me and my therapy practice

Feeling overwhelmed? Struggling to cope? Does even searching for a counsellor feel too much?

Feelings such as anxiety, unhappiness, lethargy, hopelessness or anger are your mind and body’s way of letting you know that something needs attention, things are out of balance or unresolved.

Together we can look at areas in your life that are calling for attention and care. With compassion, respect and empathy, I can accompany you to discover how you can best support yourself and find meaning and understanding in your current circumstances.

Taking some time to talk can bring new insights and perspectives and new energy, to help you make positive changes in your life and in your relationships with others.

I believe that each person has the ability and capacity to self-correct, self-heal and grow once we understand ourselves, our past experiences and current situation more fully. I won’t be an authority on your life – I believe you are.

Finding the right person to talk to is key in therapy, and so is having a plan that is reflective of your personal circumstances. With this in mind I am open to weekly or fortnightly sessions, or short-term therapy of up to 6 sessions.

Practice description

I am a person centred trained counsellor and I work with adults and young people aged 16+.

I have 3 years experience as a youth counsellor for a local charity. I have experience supporting young people in areas such as neurodiversity, self-harm, gender, emotional based school avoidance, grief, family issues and chronic illness and eating disorders to name a few.

I currently offer in person sessions lasting 60 minutes and online sessions lasting 50 minutes.

I can offer weekly, fortnightly, short-term (6-12 sessions) or long-term therapy.

In my adult practice I enjoy supporting women, parents, neurodiversity, spirituality and those living with chronic illnesses.
