Availability

I offer sessions both online (via Zoom or phone) and in person from a cosy, private space in Baldock.

I currently have availability for new clients and work mostly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons. I do have a few limited spaces on Mondays, so availability then is more occasional.

I aim to offer a calm, consistent space that fits around life without adding more pressure to it. Whether you prefer starting your day with a session, or want space to decompress in the afternoon, we can find a time that feels right.

I know that making time for therapy can feel like a big commitment, especially when you’re not sure what to expect yet. If you’re curious but unsure, I offer a free 30-minute introductory call where we can get to know each other a little and talk through how we might work together.

Feel free to reach out and we can figure out what works best for both of us.

About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You might be feeling uncertain, stuck, overwhelmed, or just know that something needs to shift, even if you’re not sure what yet. Whatever brings you here, this space is yours.

In our work together, you can expect a space where you won’t be judged, rushed, or told what to do. Instead, we’ll explore things at your pace, in a way that feels right for you. You don’t need to have the ‘right’ words, or a clear plan, just showing up is enough.

You might want to talk about identity, relationships, past experiences, or something you’re struggling to name. I’ll listen with care and curiosity, and we’ll figure things out together. I work in a person-centred way, which means I’ll always meet you where you are, and trust that you know yourself best, even if it doesn’t always feel that way right now.

While person-centred therapy is at the core of how I work, I also draw on other approaches where helpful, tailoring our work to fit your needs. I’m a trauma-informed therapist, which means I work with an awareness of how your past experiences might affect how safe it feels to open up.

As a queer therapist, I support people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, including those exploring gender identity, sexuality and asexuality, kink, consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, and complex relationship structures. I’ve also worked with bereavement, trauma, and domestic abuse.

More than anything, this is your space to feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that’s affirming, grounding, and centred around you.

Practice description

My practice is a welcoming and affirming space for anyone wanting to explore what’s going on in their life, whether that’s related to identity, relationships, past experiences, or simply needing somewhere to talk without judgement.

I work both online (via Zoom or phone) and in person, from a cosy, private room in Baldock, Hertfordshire. Sessions are usually weekly and last 50 minutes, though I’m happy to talk through what feels right for you.

I offer a free 30-minute introduction so we can meet, get a feel for each other, and talk through what support might look like. There’s no pressure to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit, the relationship between us is a key part of the work.

My practice is person-centred at its core, meaning I’ll meet you where you are and move at your pace. I won’t diagnose or push you to talk about things before you’re ready. Instead, I’ll listen deeply and support you in making sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I also work in a trauma-informed way and may gently draw on other therapeutic approaches when useful, always tailored to your needs.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just curious, that’s enough.

Whatever you're bringing, this is a space where you can be yourself, and where we can explore things together.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute introductory call, where we can get to know each other a little, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see if we feel like a good fit. There's no pressure to share anything too personal, it’s simply a chance to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.

If you decide to continue, our first full session will be dependant on where you are in your therapeutic journey. It is often a gentle beginning to the work. It’s about settling into the space, whether that’s online or in person, and starting to build a relationship where you can feel safe, heard and supported.

There’s no expectation to share everything straight away. For some people, the first session is about getting used to talking in a new way, especially if therapy is unfamiliar. For others, it might feel right to dive in a bit deeper. However we begin, I’ll meet you where you are.

I don’t use formal assessments or diagnostic tools, instead, I focus on listening and creating a space that’s tailored to your needs, at your pace.

My hope is that you leave that first session feeling a little more grounded, and with a sense of whether I’m the right person to walk alongside you in whatever you’re facing.
