About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to suit you.. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, with a foundation in person-centred and humanistic therapy. This means I’ll meet you with empathy, authenticity, and respect, and support you in exploring whatever you bring to the space, in a way that feels safe and manageable.

You are the expert on your life, and I believe the most powerful change happens when you’re truly heard and accepted just as you are. My role is to walk alongside you — helping you make sense of things, process difficult feelings, or work towards change, depending on your needs and goals.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including disabled adults, bereaved individuals, unpaid carers, couples, young adults, and those accessing counselling through employee assistance programmes. Whether you’re facing a particular crisis or simply need a space to talk and reflect, I’ll tailor the way we work to support you.

I offer:

Short-term counselling – often solution-focused and goal-oriented

Longer-term therapy – for deeper exploration and ongoing support

Flexible sessions – to accommodate availability and timeframes

I understand that finding the right counsellor is important, so I offer a free 10-minute introductory phone call. This gives us a chance to connect, and for you to see if I feel like the right fit.

Practice description

My face-to-face counselling practice is based in West Molesey, Surrey, in a quiet, dedicated counselling room that offers a safe, confidential, and welcoming environment. There is ample free parking, and the space is also accessible by public transport, making it easy to reach.

For those unable to attend in person — or who prefer the convenience of remote sessions — I also offer online counselling to clients across the UK. I'm happy to work in a hybrid way too, combining in-person and online sessions to suit your lifestyle, availability, or changing circumstances.

I also offer home visits for clients who have accessibility needs and would feel more comfortable receiving therapy in their own environment. (Please note: an additional fee applies for travel time and mileage.)

I work with an integrative, person-centred approach, which means I tailor each session to you. I draw from a range of therapeutic theories to meet your unique needs, while always placing you at the centre of our work. Whether we’re exploring deep-rooted issues or working towards practical goals, our sessions will be guided by your pace, your experiences, and what feels most helpful to you.

My first session

I offer a complimentary 10-minute introductory call before we begin working together. This gives us a chance to get to know one another, explore what you're hoping to gain from counselling, and see if my way of working feels like the right fit for you. We can also talk about availability and any practical questions you might have.

In our first full session, we’ll take time to explore what’s brought you to therapy and what you might want to focus on. These initial conversations can help shape the direction of our work — though it's completely natural for your goals to evolve over time.

We’ll also go through some key practicalities, such as the frequency and duration of sessions, confidentiality, and how we’ll work together to keep the space safe and ethical. I typically offer 50-minute sessions, but I’m happy to be flexible where needed, depending on your circumstances.

The first session — and often the first few — is a space for you to talk about what matters most to you, in your own time. There’s no pressure or expectation; this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
